Responsibilities:
Northern State University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position in Counselor Education at either the Assistant or Associate Professor level.
Rank and salary are commensurate with qualification and experience. Teaching responsibilities include providing on-line and face-to-face instruction of graduate courses in Clinical Mental Health and other areas of counseling, practicum and internship supervision, and advising; scholarly activity and service are also expected. In the role of department chair, this individual will supervise both the Counselor Education and Psychology faculty and programs, serve as primary contact for CACREP accreditation, and play a significant role in the recruitment of students to both the undergraduate Psychology program and the graduate program in Counseling.
Qualifications:
Applicants must have an earned doctorate in Counseling Education, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, School Counseling, or Community Mental Health Counseling.
Experience as a department chair or leadership/managerial experience in a clinical setting is strongly preferred. Experience and familiarity with the CACREP accreditation experience is required. Experience in program development and recruiting is beneficial. H1B sponsorship is not available for this position.
