The Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Kentucky is seeking a clinical faculty member who will primarily focus upon the care of patients with advanced heart failure, pulmonary hypertension, cardiac transplant, ventricular assist devices, mechanical support and other cardiovascular diseases within the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine.
This position will have regular assignments in the faculty rotation to cover inpatient services for patients with heart failure and also on the floor, intensive care unit and consult services at the University of Kentucky. In addition, ambulatory assignments will be aimed to establish a practice encompassing patients with advanced heart failure, pulmonary hypertension, cardiac transplant, ventricular assist devices, and other cardiovascular diseases and this position will be involved in non-invasive and invasive testing in this patient population. This position will be a core member of the transplant and ventricular assist device/mechanical circulatory support programs, and will be involved with teaching cardiology fellows, residents and students during consult service, and in-patient services and participation in the Department's courses for medical students.
