This position will be focused on both advising students/graduates and building industry relationships with employers, with the goal of helping graduates succeed in the entertainment, media, or technology industry for which they have trained. This position is based on Full Sail University's campus in Winter Park, Florida and can be performed on a hybrid basis to work from home and from campus. Full Sail management reserves the right to end hybrid positions at any time and require employees to work from campus permanently.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Reports directly to the Team Lead and receives assignments and tasks from Advisors. This position assists Advisors with all aspects of the career services process including but not limited to:

  • Outreaching to students/graduates via email, text, or phone

  • Assisting with student questions/concerns

  • Documenting actions in CareerSync (Symplicity) and Salesforce

  • Messaging all updated/pertinent information to the appropriate Advisor

  • Meeting with students during Open Door or in the event an Advisor is unavailable

  • Supporting front desk duties as needed

  • Job opportunity calls/emails - daily

  • Gather and send research as designated by Advisor

  • Updates - addresses, employment, profiles, spreadsheets, resume updates

  • Forward pertinent information and resumes to Advisor

  • Trigger internship paperwork, Employment Verification Forms, and emails

  • Document all meetings and correspondence daily

  • Schedule and facilitate interviews for designated employers

  • Respond to emails, calls, and voicemails daily; field and troubleshoot as needed

  • Develop and maintain ability to advise students on resumes and cover letters

  • Assist with statistical reporting campaign as designated by Team Lead, including research, phone calls, texting, emailing, and outreaching via social media

  • Assist in coordinating as well as participating in employer and department events

Other Responsibilities:

  • Assist with projects and various tasks as assigned by Advisors and Team Lead

  • Reschedule appointments or fill in when Advisor is unavailable

  • Participate in weekly Open Door

  • Maintain team social media channels and post about upcoming Career Dev events and other relevant information

  • Request updated or job specific resumes when speaking with student/graduate

  • Create event flyers and create/update PowerPoint presentations

  • Run Chat during Zoom presentations and employer events

  • Other duties as assigned by Team Lead and Associate Director

Education and/or Experience:

  • High school Diploma

  • Some college preferred

Computer/Equipment Skills:

  • Working knowledge of computers (Microsoft Office 365, database management)
  • Internet and social media knowledge

Environmental Factors/Physical Demands:

Employee must be able to work a minimum of 40 hours per week. Work is performed on a hybrid schedule both in office environment and remote. May include sitting for extended periods of time while performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to have the ability to maintain active customer and employee communication; access, input and retrieve information from the computer system; enter alphanumeric data into a computerized system often while listening on the telephone. May be subject to bending, reaching, kneeling, stooping, and lifting up to thirty (30) pounds
