Assists the Jackson Clinic Administrator by overseeing the total operations and activities of the physician clinics. Provides guidance and direction to office staff within their specific area of responsibility.

Responsible for the organization, coordination, analysis, and direction of efficient and effective daily operations of the physician offices. Functions as a primary physician liaison. Actively participates as a member of management in strategic planning, market development, systems development and special projects.

Manages all Medical Assistants, LPN's and RN's. Prepares and conducts bi-weekly payroll and all performance evaluations for staff. Works closely with the physician's to ensure physician satisfaction and investigate patient/physician complaints.

Prepares monthly and quarterly statistical and financial reports. Participates in monthly reviews with Clinic Administrator and Physicians. Presents Joint Commission education meetings to staff.

Performs monthly Joint Commission audits and office inspections to assure compliance with all regulatory standards and JH policies. Responsible for weekly review and approval of accounts payable. Responsible for managing office expenditures and maintaining office overhead objectives.

Ensuring all clinical staff credentials and licenses are current. Responsible for the accurate and timely billing of office charges.

Bachelor degree in Business Administration or related field required. Master's in Health Administration preferred.

Three or more years previous physician office management experience. Medical Group Management Association affiliation desired. Medical terminology required.

Computer skills including word processing and spreadsheets. Knowledge of physician office billing, credit and collections, reimbursement issues, insurance follow-up, financial statements and third party payors required. Exhibits proficient written and verbal skills.

Oversees and manages the front office medical assistants, front office coordinators, radiology technicians, and patient care coordinators in multiple physician offices within the Jackson Clinic. Ensures appropriate staffing is provided daily in their designated physician offices by developing monthly staffing schedules. Office Manager will be expected to fill any critical staffing vacancies as they arise. Completes all time cards each pay period for designated personnel. Handles routine issues pertaining to billing, patient satisfaction, and physician needs. Maintains and orders supplies for their areas while monitoring and managing expenses. Conducts routine chart audits and office inspections to ensure appropriate billing and compliance with all joint commission requirements. Manages the patient satisfaction committees for the Jackson Clinic. Responsible for the orientation, training, and development of office staff. Assists the clinic administrator with employee performance evaluations. High school diploma. Minimum of 5 years experience in medical assisting and/or billing in a physician office or physician office related setting. Certification in Physician Coding with AAPC and/or Certification in Medical Assisting preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication required, telephone etiquette, customer relations' skills, CPT and ICD Coding. Computer literate. Manual dexterity and visual acuity necessary to utilize the PC and calculator; ability to sit for prolonged periods of time; verbal communication and hearing ability to communicate with a multitude of patients and customers.
