The University of Northern Iowa's School of Music seeks applicants for an Assistant Adjunct Professor of String Bass and Jazz Bass, starting in August 2024. Responsibilities include: teaching applied lessons in classical string bass and jazz bass, weekly studio class, and recruiting both music majors and non-majors into the music program.

Education Requirements:

Master's degree in string bass or jazz bass performance required.

Required Qualifications:

Successful college-level teaching experience required.

Desirable Qualifications:

Doctoral degree in string bass performance or jazz bass performance or related field (ABD will be considered); and at least three years of successful college-level teaching experience preferred.
