This Account Assistant position is primarily responsible for supporting the Hyperlocal Activation team through tactical activities and managing projects through organizational processes. This position will require limited direct communication with clients, and will implement a wide variety of strategic communications activities, tactics and evaluation processes.
Assistant Account Executive
Writing: Writing and editing communications materials following AP style rules and other journalistic preferences, creating compelling story angles and message points
Project management: Planning, organizing, and managing resources to about the successful completion of specific project goals and objectives using our agency enterprise software.
Media relations: Pitching and coordinating with media on stories and interviews, developing media lists, building relationships.
Reporting: Managing information through systematic processes, preparing reports and developing executive summaries.
Team Support: Evaluating projects, developing and maintaining spreadsheets and calendars, participating in targeted client meetings, capturing meeting minutes, scheduling, etc.
Other duties as assigned.
Education: Minimum of a bachelor's degree, preferred areas: Public relations, journalism, communications, or marketing
The candidate must be a flexible, highly motivated individual with strong organizational abilities
Candidate must also be willing to assist with all aspects of the company as needed
Excellent organizational skills with a strong focus upon managing details
Exceptional written and oral communication skills
Comfortable in a very fast-paced and changing environment
Good interpersonal skills, collaborative, ability to work well in a team environment
Reliable, deadline and detail-oriented
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, and with online search engines
