Position Purpose:The Assistant Banking Center Manager (ABM) will be responsible for all day-to-day branch operations. The ABM will manage the Banking Associates. The ABM will facilitate all on-site management duties in the Banking Center Manager's absence. The ABM will also serve as the secondary branch product specialist. As the secondary product specialist, this individual is responsible for servicing and opening all depository relationships at the branch in a professional, courteous and timely manner.

Essential Duties (These are the primary duties for this position):

  • Manage the day to day branch operations of the retail floor, including the teller line.

  • Supervise the Banking Associates

  • Assist the Banking Center Manager and Consumer Lenders in the lending function as needed with appropriate training.

  • Open, cross-sell, and maintain depository accounts via the deposit platform system, including but not limited to checking, savings and certificates of deposit.

  • Mentor Platform Program.

  • Achieve stated individual and branch sales goals.

  • Provide exceptional customer service.

  • Be up to date with all technology and remote services.

  • Attendance: Reporting to work on time and on scheduled day at your scheduled location.

  • Face-to-face interaction with co-workers and the ability to work in a team environment.

Training (Training required to be fully proficient in this position):

  • Computer/Software training.

  • Product specific training (ex: CD's, IRA's, Consumer Loans).

  • Quality customer service, including telephone etiquette.

  • Bank Secrecy Act

  • Privacy Act

  • Other compliance training as assigned

  • Verbal and written communication.

  • Product Efficiency Test must be taken at 90 days of employment with passing score by 180 days.

  • Supervisory/HR training (including effective management of subordinates, interviewing techniques, problem resolution, non-financial motivation, sexual harassment, etc.)

Proficiency in the above listed "training" requirements will be expected of each Assistant Banking Center Manager. Due to differences in personal experiences and education levels, these skills will be evaluated on an individual basis.

Working Conditions:

When working in the Product Specialist role, the individual will be stationary at a desk facilitating customer service, keying new deposit accounts, maintaining existing accounts, etc. However, the ABM will spend a great deal of time moving throughout the branch and overseeing the retail floor.
