An internship on the ABC News Assignment Desk is designed to introduce and engage undergraduate students with a passion for broadcast journalism to the daily workings of a 24-hour global newsroom.

  • All candidates must currently be enrolled in an accredited college or university and taking at least one class OR be a recent graduate of an accredited college or university within the last six (6) months

  • OR - be currently participating in the Disney College Program, Disney Culinary Program or Disney Professional Internship Program in order to qualify for this internship
  • All candidates must be able to work in the New York City office and provide their own housing and transportation for the duration of the internship

  • All candidates must be able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the session

What segment of the population makes up our program's audience? Our team works mostly with producers of ABC News programs to provide them with an accurate picture of how their programs perform, emerging trends and guidance on strategy for future performance. Job Type Temporary/Seasonal Segment Media Networks Internship Program Subtype Professional Internship Additional Information * Must be enrolled in a college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within the past six (6) months OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship * Must be at least 18 years of age * Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program. * Must possess unrestricted work authorization * Current Active Disney cast members must meet Professional Internship transfer guidelines (for Walt Disney World cast members this is no more than four points and one reprimand in the last six months; for Disneyland cast members this is six months of consecutive service and a performance record clear of any disciplinary issues (warnings, suspensions, etc.) for at least six months) * Program Dates: Interns must be fully available from January through May 2020.
