The Asset Protection Investigator is responsible for preventing and improving shrink across multiple stores by conducting thorough external investigations and supporting internal awareness programs. The Asset Protection Investigator is responsible for performing all responsibilities in a safe manner consistent with company values and policies and applicable federal and state laws. This role typically reports to a Regional or Area Asset Protection Manager.

Primary responsibilities:


  • Identify and apprehend shoplifters in strict accordance with L Brand's Shoplifting Apprehension Policies and Procedures

  • Assist and participate in external investigations as directed by supervisor/case building

  • Ensure proper preparation, maintenance and retention of all reports, evidence, files and records in accordance with company guidelines and local jurisdiction

  • Review data reporting to identify external patterns

  • Testify in criminal proceedings when required

  • Prepare and submit cases per company guidelines

  • Participate in the inventory process as directed by supervisor to support minimizing inventory losses and achievement of shrinkage goals

  • Work with store management on addressing asset protection issues

  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with members of the store management team, local officials and agencies; work to develop relationships with other asset protection industry investigators

  • As directed by supervisor, support Internal Investigations

  • Complete all special projects as assigned by supervisor

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends and holidays


Required skills and experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred.

  • Two to three years of asset protection investigative experience preferred.

  • Effective communications skills, written and verbal.

  • Effective organization and follow up skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.

  • Travel may be required.

DESIGN SEGMENT MANAGER - HOSPITALITY The Design Segment Manager, Hospitality (DSM), has over-sight and accountability of all hospitality product specification in the relevant market with focus on Top 100 firms. The DSM will participation in strategic initiatives around global opportunities and major brand related specifications. In addition, the DSM will manage their time and processes to ensure sales direction and strategic initiatives of the hospitality business unit are achieved. Responsibilites * Primary focus is to drive Tarkett hospitality specifications with major design firms. * Serve as a strategic resource to the Hospitality business unit connecting with regional, national and global colleagues to pursue specifications and projects. * Serve as expert in all platforms to include, Woven Axminister, Broadloom, Modular, LVT, Accessories and Area Rug platforms. * Partner with local agents and peers across the country to manage projects and increase close rates. * Liaise with Product Designers, Project Designers and SOC Designers. * Manage custom projects to ensure accurate and on-time support for all projects including; supporting sales teams and interacting directly with third party design teams. * Facilitate for design accounts the easy navigation of Tarkett custom processes. * Manage and organize local events to promote Tarkett as a design leader in hospitality. * Engage and be active with local design and industry organizations such as NEWH and IIDA. * Recognize and provide feedback on product and/or design gaps, design and product trends, competitive trends and sales needs and tools. * "On-board" new designs and products to the local team. * Provide design direction for hospitality soft surface and LVT. * Serve as the face of Tarkett hospitality for design in the market while attending plant, conference, project or market trips to support strategic initiatives and specifications. * All other duties as assigned Desired skills and experience * Bachelor's degree with a focus in design and/or equivalent combination of education and experience. * Five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and sales experience preferred. * Highly organized, self-starter. * Ability to present ideas and concepts with clarity, passion and commitment. * Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. * Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects, from filling sample needs to closing major projects. * Proficient personal computer skills to include MS Office platform and CRM. * Overnight travel is required (up to 30%) This description is a general statement of duties and responsibilities performed on a regular and continuous basis.
