The Solar Asset Manager is responsible for the financial oversight, budgeting, financial forecasting and operation and maintenance for energy assets. This role will be responsible for driving the profitability of solar assets through close collaboration with accounting, regulatory, trading, asset development, technical, and related groups. The Asset Manager will ensure that the output of the asset is in line with forecasts, that the production is properly billed and accounted for, that appropriate hedges are in place, that required maintenance is scheduled and completed as required, and that any contractual obligations related to a given asset are fulfilled.Responsibilities:
  • Maintain an understanding of the underlying project assets and our investment structures (financial, technical & contractual), including managing operational reviews, compliance, financial reporting, and optimization
  • Work with operations, engineering, development, legal, and finance on behalf of the asset management
  • Manage and monitor compliance in all contracts and activities.
  • Identify, assess and support Asset Optimization by preparing cost/benefit analysis for each optimization initiative, considering terms of the contracts associated with the asset, asset performance, engineering cost estimates and implementation schedules from the various subject matter experts.
  • Familiarity with computerized DAS/SCADA/Monitoring systems, interconnection agreements and data management
  • Monitor system performance and performing corrective actions as required, utilizing both internal and external resources, and maintaining a database with key information of operating projects
  • Track causes of system issues and make recommendations to procurement and operations team for equipment selection
  • Ability to understand financial models and the potential impact of operations on investments
  • Expertise in building and updating financial models
  • Ability to define issues, analyze problems, evaluate alternatives and develop sound conclusions
  • Responsible for the financial performance of the portfolio, while monitoring sites and making recommendations for O&M teams.
  • Project tracking from construction to commissioning to asset management
  • Collecting of project data and documentation (construction, engineering, development sales)
  • O&M management, purchasing, parts planning, inventory tracking, inventory management, project file management, maintenance reporting
  • Utilize internal production reporting platform for tracking system production across fleet
  • Prepare periodic asset management reports (including operational and financial performance)
  • 2+ years of experience from another developer, ideally solar, but flexible with other renewables.
  • Degree in engineering or any other technical field.
  • Preferred in Northeast, but flexible to remote with periodic travel to the office.
  • Experience with solar contracts (PPA) and interpreting key terms and data
  • Knowledgeable in standard applied codes such as the NEC

A Day in the Life: As a Senior Project Manager, you will work closely with program management, subsystem technical leads, and other engineers to manage and coordinate software engineering activities within the Surgical Robotics business. You will be responsible for project management activities for one or more software subsystems to support the development of our Surgical Robotics Platform. You will ensure that your engineering teams: * Are efficient, effective and well-coordinated. * Have clear priorities and goals. * Develop and track to schedules. * Deliver quality designs according to process. You will: * Coordinate, develop and track schedules, plans, tasks, and priorities. * Establish strong relationships with engineering team members and be able to estimate, plan, and execute SW development and testing tasks. * Anticipate and mitigate risk points. Make tradeoffs between schedule, budget, and scope, while meeting safety and regulatory requirements. * Identify and track dashboard metrics that can be used to report status to leadership, as well as drive team behavior & accountability. * Schedule project meetings, document meeting minutes and key decisions, and track action items * Support engineering teams to follow effective process. Promote communication between multiple platform teams and disciplines. * With technical leads, develop and manage the SW development process and necessary SW development tools. Assist with design, selection and implementation of tools and processes. This includes assisting the team in adopting Agile Software Development methodologies and optimizing our JIRA usage and workflows. * Track the financials of the project and participate in forecasting and monthly accruals * Develop a broad understanding of the Medtronic Surgical Robotics and Instrumentation Businesses, products, and clinical applications and leverage the knowledge of others * Coordinate, track, proof and finalize project documents as needed with limited supervision * Coaching and influence project teams to achieve maximum performance and efficiency in the project. Must Have: Minimum Requirements * Bachelors degree required * Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience Nice to Have Nice to have: * 3-5 years of Project Management experience in embedded software development (IT Project Management not applicable) * Experience with highly regulated and/or safety-critical systems is required (medical device experience strongly preferred) * Strong knowledge of software engineering management, both tools and process (project tracking/scheduling; document management; Static analysis, SW unit testing, requirements verification; issue/bug tracking; configuration management; integration/release testing; etc.) * Solid understanding of structured product development (requirements-driven engineering, requirements documentation, rigorous verification, Failure Mode Analysis (FMEA), etc.) * Experience with Microsoft suite of tools (Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) * Strong verbal and written communication skills * Able to influence all customers (both internal and external) on issues that impact the business and its technical service and product strategies * Master's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Business Administration (MBA) * Certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) * Experience managing projects in the medical device industry * Ideation, development, and release of large electro-mechanical capital products with embedded software * Experience as a SW development engineer with growing knowledge/experience in project management * Familiarity with common software development tools/platforms/languages (JIRA, Stash, Bamboo, GIT, QNX, C++) * Experience with Agile Software Development Methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, etc.) * Demonstrated experience in accomplishing objectives.
