Leidos is looking to hire a Jr. Asset Management Specialist in Camp Lejeune, NC to join our newly awarded NGEN program.

Leidos is pleased to announce that it has been awarded the Next Generation Enterprise Network-Recompete (NGEN-R) Contract. This is an eight-year, $7.7 billion contract that is responsible for maintaining and modernizing the main global network of the Navy and Marine Corps.

NGEN-R is the largest IT services program for the Navy. Under the Service Management, Integration, and Transport portion of NGEN-R, the Leidos team will deliver the core backbone of the Navy-Marine Corps Intranet, including cybersecurity services, network operations, service desk, and data transport. Ultimately, Leidos will support the Navy in unifying its shore-based networks and data management to improve capability and service while also saving significant dollars by focusing efforts under one enterprise network.

Job Description

The selected candidate will focuses on the tracking and control of service assets in the IT infrastructure and collaborates with configuration analysts to train Service Asset & Configuration Management (SACM) staff in SACM principles, processes, and procedures. Other duties and responsibilities include:

  • Implement and monitor security measures for communication systems, networks, and provide advice that systems and personnel adhere to established security standards and Governmental requirements for security on these systems.

  • Supports the creation of the SACM process, activities, and procedures to include CI registration procedures, access controls, and privileges.

  • Ensures the correct roles and responsibilities are defined in the SACM plan/procedures.

  • Assists with procurement of IT assets when requested.

  • Works with other SACM roles to tag and track all IT assets and to identify their locations and owners.

  • Receives IT assets and ensures delivery to correct locations, and coordinates IT asset setup and teardown activities when requested.

  • Proposes/concurs with the SACM Manager on CIs to be uniquely identified with naming conventions.

  • Ensures developers and configuration system users comply with identification standards.

  • Liaises with Configuration Librarian on population of asset and configuration management system (CMS).

  • Performs configuration audits to ensure physical inventory is consistent with the configuration management database (CMDB)/CMS, initiating corrective action through Change Control.

  • Accepts baselined products from third parties for distribution.

  • Builds system baselines for promotion and release. Maintains project status information and status accounting records and reports.

  • Assists SACM Manager in report definition as required.

  • Maintains and reconciles databases containing information regarding licenses, warranties, and service agreements for the organization's hardware and software.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High school Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience

  • One (1) years of experience using Department of Defense Logistics and Asset Management System (e.g., Remedy, DPAS, GCSS-MC).

  • Active DOD Secret Clearance

The Ground Communications-Electronics Repair Technician Contractor shall perform diagnosis, repairs, and modifications to ground data/communications equipment at the organizational and intermediate levels. Responsibilities include using AIS such as ATLASS, GCSS-MC, and SSAVIE. The Contractor shall be able to obtain an operators' license for non-tactical and tactical Government-owned equipment, read schematic diagrams, blueprints and specifications. The Contractor will provide support to USMC Special Operations Forces equipment with comprehensive logistical and technical maintenance of their communications, intelligence, and tactical air control capabilities by executing and supporting multiple functional tasks to include, but not limited to: perform trouble shooting, maintenance, and repair; prepare supply system requisitions; conduct vendor liaison; execute item management and disposition actions; support the Capital Equipment Replacement Program; coordinate with Field Service Representatives from outside manufacturers; maintain readiness of all organic equipment; maintain technical publications; document all logistics and maintenance of equipment, equipment status, equipment inventory, and supply transactions by the records interface by using logistics automated information systems (LOGAIS) application known as Global Combat Support System-Marine Corps (GCSS-MC).
