The Events Associate will plan, manage, and execute client and internal events for J.P. Morgan Asset Management, both independently as well in partnership with more senior planners. The job demands interaction with colleagues on the Americas regional events team, marketing, client services, and product partners so that we can ensure a consistent and distinctive experience for clients which underscores our business strategies. The team goal is to develop and execute events that increase client business/deepen existing client relationships, create and drive efficiencies for all internal partners and maintain J.P. Morgan brand standard in all events.
Event planning responsibilities include:
Own the full event planning process for a mix of principle, regional, and internal events, partnering with senior planners where needed
Understand business objectives and assist in developing an event strategy that supports business goals
Embed the importance of clients' relations in all aspects of events, ensure a "distinctively J.P. Morgan" experience for clients
Drive operational efficiencies
Maintain budgets and event calendar accordingly, strong emphasis on data management and data analysis (i.e. maintain lists and populate tracking reports following events)
Participate in weekly team meetings, budget calls, and multiple marketing meetings providing event updates
A minimum of three-six years prior experience in event management related activities
Ability to work well with others in a team environment and to be flexible and adaptable
Must think strategically and problem solve; must have ability to offer creative solutions
Must be able to multi-task and work under tight deadlines; responses must be prompt, clear, and professional at all times
Sustain team when others are traveling (i.e. answer phones, respond to requests, answer questions, etc.)
Administrative duties include creating invitations, processing invoices, making name tags, place cards, and menu cards, etc.
Ability to be work long hours when needed and travel
