JOB DESCRIPTION:

Primary Job Function:

Ensure procurement, deployment, control and compliance of hardware assets. Help facilitate hardware lifecycle management. Adhere to Abbott system policies and overall Abbott requirements. Ensure hardware asset inventory systems are maintained and accurate.

Core Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional policies and procedures.

  • Responsible for the creation and assistance in closure activities pertaining to Request for Capital Expenditures (RCEs).

  • Responsible for review, data tracking and reporting of all capital orders.

  • Responsible for implementing and maintaining Intercompany Billing (ICBs) for international invoices.

  • Provides and analyses metrics necessary to support desktop asset functions.

  • Indirectly supervise the monitoring of incoming requests/work orders to ensure fulfillment in a timely and accurate manner.

  • Monitors and reviews software license and hardware compliance.

  • Facilitates adequate stock levels to ensure fulfillment in a timely manner.

  • Perform work using existing standards, methodologies, and processes.

  • Have a basic understanding of other systems/business processes relationship to each other.

  • Participate on IT projects as assigned. Provide metrics necessary to support hardware and mobility asset functions.

Position Accountability / Scope:

  • Serve as a team member; may also indirectly assist/guide contingent workers.

  • Responsible for compliance with applicable corporate policies and procedures.

  • Maintain productive relationships with peers, IT management, functional business areas, and external partners.

  • Work with limited general supervision.

  • Regular assignments are completed with minimal supervision.

  • Guides the efforts of less experienced staff.

  • Has basic input to decisions that impact planning and goal setting activities.

  • Generates ideas and develops general approaches to workflow process.

  • Medium complexity work.

  • Errors or failure to achieve expected results may result in the expenditure of more resources than was planned or could have an indirect impact on compliance.

Minimum Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent work experience.

  • Minimum Experience / Training Required

  • 2-4 years of experience

  • Knowledge of regulations and standards affecting hardware and mobility compliance.

  • Advanced knowledge in the use of the entire Microsoft Office suite.

  • Excellent Customer Service and support skills.

  • Knowledge in records keeping, statistical analysis, reporting, and asset lifecycle.

  • Knowledge of desktop operating systems, application support as well as desktop application licensing and contract management.

  • Knowledge and understanding of process flow and inventory system functionality.

  • 1-2 years' experience with Request for Capital Expenditures and Intercompany Billing process flows.

  • 1-2 years' experience in large multinational company working with multiple countries and time zones on complex tax and accounting activities.

Provide the distribution/ transportation information, analyses, and systems knowledge necessary to determine the most efficient and effective domestic distribution and transportation patterns. Core Job Responsibilities: * Responsible for implementing and maintaining the effectiveness of the quality system. * Evaluate domestic distribution and transportation operations, data, and facilities in order to support the identification of the most effective distribution and transportation patterns for products. * Evaluates and implements results from distribution analyses. * Identify projects, perform data research, review and analyze findings, make recommendations, present findings, implement approved recommendation with assistance from manager. * Identify cost reduction projects; perform data research, review and analyze findings, make recommendations, present findings, write final report, implement recommendation. * Recommend improvements to the distribution system based on technological advances, changes in economic circumstances and sound business strategy. * Provide data and analysis to support long range planning to ensure that the distribution of product to our customers is both timely and economical. * Use computer access techniques to determine customer location, product demand and customer use of distribution/transportation services. * Develop computer and analytical systems to reduce time and cost of obtaining information for distribution and transportation decision making. * Analyze a distribution situation in terms of elemental and total costs for each operation; identify alternatives & costs, define the costs and savings of the best solution. * Derive basic cost data using computers and mathematical models.; Influences personnel in other organizations to maintain smooth and efficient distribution operations; Assists management with negotiation of transfer rates and transportation rates with outside vendors. * Maintains professional contact with management of all disciplines. * Contacts external vendors and suppliers to exchange and obtain information; Preferred Experience: * Strong understanding of Microsoft Office tools and SAP Experience preferred. Experience with Qlikview a plus.
