Summary

This role will provide operations leadership for the Lexington Plant in support of the product supply organization of the Owens and Minor - Halyard Products Division. Responsibilities include crew development and asset reliability improvement, full responsibility for asset results, and predictability. This individual should be recognized for leadership capability, possess high standards of professional performance, display vision, and demonstrate both personal and organizational sensitivity. The role will report directly to the Plant Manager of the Lexington Facility. This role is responsible for maintaining process strategy and direction and receives direction in the form of plant and project objectives.

Core Responsibilities

  • Provides leadership for all operational issues and collaborates with a cross functional team to identify, prioritize and correct areas that could impact business results.

  • Manages the day-to-day operational and tactical aspects of the operation; manages scope and mitigates risk across the asset; prepares and manages budgets and schedules.

  • Provides direct leadership to 6-10 O&M-Halyard production teammates, maintenance associates and process technicians as well as a team of 50 third party contract associates in execution and delivery for all Safety, Quality, Compliance, Cost, and Productivity required to meet business objectives.

  • Supports the facility QMS policy and compliance by contributing to the development, implementation, and continual improvement of the effectiveness of the Quality Management System. The QMS requirements include O&M-Halyard Corporate QMS, MDSAP, and all other appropriate regulatory requirements and standards applicable to the Lexington site.

  • Supports the facility EHS policy; comply with all local EHS legislation and codes; identify, report, investigate and address any EHS substandard acts and/or conditions; and drive the setting of EHS objectives and evaluate the effectiveness of the plant's EHS Management System.

  • Participates in the development of strategic manufacturing and supply chain plans for the Products Division business. Supports and drives LEAN and cost reduction projects with staff operations and plant teams.

Qualifying Experience

  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university

  • Requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in a variety of operational assignments in a manufacturing environment

  • Previous non-wovens and converting manufacturing experience

  • Experience leading people and collaborating across functional boundaries

Shift: 12 Hour rotating Schedule (2 weeks on Days & 2 weeks on Nights) Compensation: $16.30 Job Summary: Support day-to-day production in manufacturing areas and responsible for operation of the asset equipment and process. Core Responsibilities: * Must be able to work 12 hour rotating schedule to include holidays and weekends occurring in the shift rotation. * Must be able to acquire and demonstrate skill and knowledge needed to achieve validation in all asset modules. * Must be able to demonstrate and validate basic functional skills to support different machines throughout the plant. * Participate and lead in routine and specialized run activities, start-up, troubleshooting, shutdown, grade change events and developing work instructions to allow supporting repetitive basic maintenance tasks. * Maintain awareness of current business needs through emails, logbooks, and other forms of communication. * Provide input on and support equipment and process improvement initiatives. * Must follow documentation standards as stated in PR-11538 Good Documentation Practices when completing all paperwork.
