LCRA's Asset Engineering group currently has an opportunity for an experienced, dedicated, professional that will contribute to the full implementation of the essential infrastructure of Texas in an organization that strives to improve the quality of life of the communities we serve. You have knowledge of Power Transmission Engineering technologies such as transmission line, substation, civil, structural, or telecommunications. Your role will directly support our asset unitization process that ensures LCRA meets it financial and regulatory goals. You enjoy a detailed challenge and pulling all the pieces together from varied information sources. You are probably wondering if we are in the office or working remotely? Our approach focuses on the balance between teamwork and flexibility which means we are currently in a hybrid schedule; you will spend two days of your week at the office and have the option to work three days remotely.

You will be trusted to:

  • Reading and interpreting project charters, budget estimates, engineering drawings, and construction documents to identify and resolve new asset values and ownership.

  • Performing office research related to asset listings, historical engineering drawings, equipment databases, microfilm, inventory, electronic document management system (EDMS) records to identify removed assets.

  • Field research as required from time to time may involve various physical activities.

Preparing fixed capital unit (FCU) lists.

  • Providing quality assurance and quality control role related to engineering documents and processes.

  • Preparing sophisticated reports related to projects, work plans, equipment, and assets.

You qualify with:

  • Eight or more years of experience interpreting technical drawings/documents and performing technical analysis; drafting using computer-aided design software; or performing engineering design, including at least five years of experience performing engineering design or other relevant experience.

  • A degree in computer-aided design, engineering technology or relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience.

  • Driver's license
