Position Overview

Reporting to the Global Head of Product Innovation, the Asset class Product Head will lead a team responsible for creating and developing a pipeline of innovative products that differentiate SSGA from their competitors and enhance SSGA's prospects for revenue and asset growth.

The individual will have a deep understanding of regional client needs, competitive dynamics, regulatory trends across one of the following asset class channels which form the structure of the Global Product organisation.

• Equities

• Alternatives

• Fixed Income

• Active

Primary Responsibilities

• Managing a team of subject matters experts with a coaching and motivational leadership style that develops a culture of innovation, agility and high performance.

• Maintain a high level of communication with investment teams and regional distribution leaders, ensuring product strategy needs and expectations are fulfilled.

• Monitor and analyse market evolution and emerging trends to strengthen product offerings and performance.

• Develop a deep understanding of asset class(es) and market dynamics to effectively manage product offerings.

• Lead the development of a pipeline for innovative products that differentiate our offerings from competitors and drive revenue growth.

• Engage in building frameworks that consider client needs, competitive dynamics, and regulatory trends to influence product design and roadmap.

Job Requirements and Minimum Qualifications

• Investments acumen with broad knowledge across asset class(es) and the application to product ecosystem.

• Experience working with varied client types and knowledge of how client needs influence product design and strategy

• Strong knowledge of the asset management industry including investors types, distribution channels, competitor landscape, investment products

• Demonstrable track record of delivering successful product outcomes

• Experienced leadership and people management skills with a demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate teams towards achieving common goals.

• Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to leverage data and insights to inform decision making

• Deep knowledge aligning to one of the asset class channels (Equities, Alternatives, Fixed Income, Active)

Salary Range:

$170,000 - $267,500 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
