Asset Based Lending Specialist I

Summary

The Asset Based Lending Specialist I is responsible for assisting with the gathering of borrowing base information, financial and collateral trends for working capital lines of credit, daily operations of the Business Manager program, evaluation of clients' needs, managing risk, and to enhance client retention. This position will ensure that client relationships are managed in compliance with loan policies, work with the underwriting team, and coordinate daily loan and collateral management with loan operations.

Specific Job Functions

• Assists with supporting the Asset Based Lending department in maintaining the credit quality of the portfolio.

• Assists in daily operations of the Business Manager program.

• Applies payments to the respective factored invoices.

• Responsible for transferring funds between different accounts within the Business Manager credit facility and deposit accounts.

• Facilitates the acquisition of customer invoices through the Business Manager product depositing funds.

• Monitors the borrowers' Business Manager accounts to ensure required balances are maintained.

• Ensures that collateral reports and documents are submitted in accordance with the loan agreement and that the collateral is properly monitored.

• Assists with the collection of borrowing bases/AR aging, verifying collateral availability, credit status, and approval authority.

• Works closely with customers, loan officers, and technical support staff on any issues related to these accounts.

• Ensures that any issues with accounts are reported immediately to lenders and management.

• Assists with department projects as needed.

Minimum Job Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

• Prior banking experience is preferred.

• 0-3 years of Asset Based Lending and/or related Commercial Credit experience is required.

• Demonstrates basic understanding of legal documentation and moderate financial and analytical skills.

• Possess strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

• Must demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate with co-workers and clients.

• Proficient in computer skills and Microsoft Suite.
