Job Purpose: This position manages company assets for sales activity (i.e. demo and loaner equipment). Additionally, it manages inventory control of product equipment and sets priorities to achieve both immediate and long-term sales goals. This position ensures, creates, and maintains smooth work-flow processes to provide a high level of customer satisfaction for our direct sales representatives, customers, and partners. The Asset and Inventory Control Manager provides direct oversight and people management of the demo, loaner, and inventory control teams.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Asset Management (50% of time)

  • Manage and monitor the daily performance of assets (i.e. demo and loaner assets).

  • Develop processes to improve the allocation, tracking, and retrieval of assets.

  • Lead and provide guidance to Asset Team with internal and external problem resolution.

  • Perform monthly inventory and reconciliation of all asset equipment.

  • Approve and monitor all demo requests daily.

  • Analyze the movement of demo and loaner (assets) daily by monitoring the usage of assets and recommending additional assets to be added to the demo inventory based on demand.

  • Meet weekly with the Demo and Loaner team to ensure that team members effectively communicate with customers, the sales team, and the marketing team regarding demo shipments, demo retrieval, RMA's, loaner shipments, and loaner retrieval.

  • Provide back up to Demo team (i.e. gather and allocate demo equipment process for shipment and retrieval) as needed.

  • Provide back up to the Loaner team (i.e. create RMAs for customer repairs, allocate loaners for shipment, and loaner retrieval) as needed.

  • Perform audit of Assets to provide annual inventory findings to the Finance team.

  • Perform special projects and tasks pertaining to Asset Management when requested by Senior Management (i.e. demo report detailing the number of demos fulfilled, shipped and retrieved monthly).

  • Act as liaison for asset management between Sales, Marketing, Service, Finance, Compliance, Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance teams. Ensure that all personnel within the departments understand and follow the processes to provide our customers with "Best in Class" service.

  • Comply with all applicable U.S. Food and Drug Administration (U.S. FDA) medical device regulatory requirements and all other applicable laws, regulations, and standards.

Inventory Control (50% of time)

  • Ensure process improvement associated with Inventory Control. Improve process if needed on accurate demand forecasting, stock levels, and obsolete inventory.

  • Lead and provide guidance regarding inventory with internal and external problem resolution. Meet weekly with the Inventory Control Team to ensure that the team communicates internally and externally with all stakeholders.

  • Monitor the stock levels for reordering, slow-moving inventory, and assessing shelf life to help make decisions about demand and supply.

  • Provide back-up to the Inventory Control team. (i.e. create requisition and purchase order, track purchase order shipments, and communicate with vendors as needed).

  • Perform Audit activities associated with inventory.

  • Perform Special projects and tasks pertaining to inventory control when requested by Senior Management

  • Act as liaison for inventory control between Sales, Marketing, Service, Finance, Compliance, Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance teams. Ensure that all personnel within the departments understand and follow the processes to provide our customers with "Best in Class" service.

  • Comply with all applicable U.S. Food and Drug Administration (U.S. FDA) medical device regulatory requirements and all other applicable laws, regulations, and standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or 5-7 years equivalent experience in inventory control and customer service

  • Exceptionally strong skillset in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, etc.

  • Self-directed with high energy and motivation.

  • Ability to work independently and in a team/group environment.

  • Creative and consultative communicator with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Presentation skills are a plus.

  • Ability to influence others without position reporting structure to achieve results and deliver on committed timelines and objectives.

  • Experience with SAP and Salesforce.com a strong plus.

  • Experience working in a quality controlled and validated system a strong plus.

  • Adheres to the Company's quality and regulatory compliance requirements, without exception, and ensures that all job duties inherent in the position description are performed in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Physical requirements:

The position requires the ability to perform the following physical demands and/or have the listed capabilities:

  • The ability to sit up 75-100% of applicable work time.

  • The ability to use hands and fingers to feel and manipulate items, including keyboards, up to 100% of applicable work time.

  • The ability to stand, talk, and hear for up to 75% of applicable work time.

  • The ability to lift and carry up to ten pounds up to 20% of applicable work time.

  • Close Vision: The ability to see clearly at twenty inches or less.

Travel:

  • Occasional (up to 25%) travel may be required based on business need.
