20.90 - 26.13 USD Per Hour

Working Location:

Carson, CA

Working Hours/Shift:

Monday - Friday: 8 AM - 4:30 PM

What you bring to SBHG (qualifications):

  • 2 years' college or AA degree preferred with 2 years of relevant business experience. Secretarial school diploma with 4 years' business experience relevant to the position acceptable.

  • Experience should be with children, adolescents and families in residential or outpatient settings. 2 years of relevant business experience. Experience in either a mental health setting or a QA position preferred.

  • Spanish speaking preferred

  • Valid California Driver's License

How you will make a difference (job overview):

Under the direction of the Assessment Team Supervisor, the Assessment Team Specialist is responsible for all aspects of reviewing, auditing, and organizing of the assessment documentation. This position has primary responsibility for supporting the assessment team, by assisting with assessment packet review and maintaining up to date referral and triage logs. Essential duties of the position are to coordinate the auditing of assessment documentation to ensure accurate and timely documentation of services by Community Services staff to assure conformity with Medi-Cal, Los Angeles County, other outside agencies, and internal standards and policies. The assistant also provides administrative support to the Assessment team. This role interacts and communicates with other clinical and non-clinical staff to support the efficient and effective delivery of services.

Division/Program Overview:

  • Community Based programs.

  • Provides programs for children, adolescents, and transitional age youth (TAY) with Mental Health services.

  • An experienced staff of psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, mental health therapist / Clinician, parent partners, and other counselors

  • Provide case management, mental health care, and a range of support services in schools, homes or other community settings.

  • Partner with family members, school administrators and faculty, county social workers, case managers, probation officers, and other agencies.

  • Utilize Evidence Based Practice (EBP) to ensure clients make positive changes in their life.
