The Educator Preparation Program at the University of Tennessee at Martin is accepting applications for a Research Associate II (Assessment Coordinator). This position provides assessment expertise and support to administration, faculty, and staff to advance a culture of assessment for learning and continuous improvement in the Education Preparation Program at the University of Tennessee at Martin. This job entails building and maintaining an infrastructure that supports assessment and data-driven decision making. The position requires the ability to work effectively in a high volume, multi-task environment where undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, and administrators use assessment data to make decisions. This is a 12 month position.
Serve as Livetext Coordinator.
Develop and maintain an electronic assessment system using Banner, LiveText, edTPA, and Canvas.
Coordinate data from these sources to monitor progress and inform decisions.
Monitor state and federal regulations related to our programs and produce reporting based on data.
Monitor and analyze Praxis data and produce reports that show data trends.
Create a process to monitor candidate data from program entrance to graduation.
Track education majors from entrance to the University to graduation.
Record and track student recruitment efforts to inform strategies for the undergraduate program.
Gather assessment data needed to monitor SACS and CAEP accreditation reports from the EPP.
Assist in the planning of strategies to meet EPP Report Card objectives.
Assist graduate counseling department with implementation of CACREP and monitor progress.
Develop assessment initiatives that align with accreditation and continuous improvement efforts.
Assume responsibility for assessment programs, including assessment validity, quality, and accuracy.
Provide data and related information to complete and support state and national reporting requirements. (Title II, Annual Reports, Report Card, Data Guide Book, etc.)
Manage assessment timelines, scheduling, submission and documentation of assessment cycles
Collaborate with EPP faculty to develop key assessments to demonstrate standards- based performance.
Assist with dissemination of general licensure and completer information for LEAs/faculty/ students.
Collaborate with others to produce assessment narratives for internal and external use.
Develop, distribute, and analyze a variety of surveys.
Other duties as assigned.
Master's degree in education, business, or related field plus one year experience or equivalent education and experience.
Understanding of federal, state, EPP, and accrediting body guidelines.
Experience collaborating with PK-12 school educators or higher education faculty and administration.
Experience in using data to impact instruction and strategic planning.
Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Doctorate in education or business.
Knowledge of Banner, IRIS, Canvas, or other learning management software.
