ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Implements and ensures adherence to the Arizona Department of Education, Adult Education Services Assessment Policy

  • Provides coordination and oversees the standardized assessment process for adult education participants

  • Assists with student intake, including initial assessment, and class placement

  • Provides testing reports to program leadership and instructional staff

  • Analyzes student testing, success, and retention data for the program and provides the results and guidance to faculty and support staff as appropriate

  • Follows all requirements of the WIOA/Title II grant regulations

  • May create internal processes for Adult Education department

  • Provides training to faculty and support staff

  • Attends all state-mandated trainings and conferences

  • Works with the Student Accommodation Specialist to ensure that all student accommodations are provided for TABE assessments and classroom instruction

  • Follows Arizona Department of Education policy/protocol

  • Travel to Southern campuses periodically.

SECONDARY JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Performs related work as required.

  • Performs special assignments as requested.

  • Exercises regular and predictable attendance and punctuality.

MINIMUM:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Education or other related field.

  • Three (3) years of experience in education

  • Or any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities may be considered in meeting the minimum qualifications.

SPECIAL JOB REQUIREMENT

  • Must possess a valid State of Arizona Driver's License at the start of employment and maintain said license while employed in this position.

  • Able to obtain or currently holds an AZ Adult Education Certificate

Sets daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and or annual project goals, creating specific plans to meet them.

  • Decision-Making & Judgment (Intermediate Level) - Gathers information on an issue, impartially considering all sides and makes logical decisions that are clear. Evaluates positive and negative alternatives within time and resource constraints. Always has 'big picture' in mind and helps others see it. Uses sound judgment and integrity to make clear, transparent decisions.

  • Technical Proficiency (Intermediate Level) - Understands the technical difficulty and complexity of work undertaken and advises others accordingly. Seeks to learn additional technical skills and or build knowledge relevant to the job role. Accomplishes the technical tasks required by the work unit largely independently. Ensures the appropriately applied procedures, requirements, regulations, or policies related to specialized areas of expertise in the production of work-unit outputs or results.
