As an Assessment and Authorization Specialist, you will be providing cybersecurity support to enterprise-level clients. You will be responsible for the Information Assurance and Security of application, database, and enterprise network services. In addition, you will be performing activities associated with delivering Cybersecurity policy implementation and network solutions related to customer-defined systems and software projects.
What You'll Be Doing
Advise and assist customers with the lifecycle assessment and authorization process.
Advise and Assist customers with the development of a System security plan.
Utilize COTS/GOTS and customer tools and processes/procedures to scan, identify, contain, mitigate, and remediate vulnerabilities and intrusions.
Monitor, track, and assess systems in the monitor queue.
Coordinate technical security assessments to identify points of vulnerability and non-compliance with established IA standards.
Assist architect and service developers in the identification and implementation of appropriate information security controls.
Create and review A&A Body of evidence (BOE) documentation.
Design and implement trusted interfaces among internal systems
Validate and verify system security requirements.
Build IA into systems and services.
Recognize potential, successful, and unsuccessful intrusion attempts and compromises through review and analysis of event details and summary information.
Assess and mitigate system security threats/risks through the program lifecycle.
Contribute to the security planning, assessment, risk analysis, risk management, certification, and awareness activities for system and networking operations.

This opportunity is onsite in Chantilly, VA
Security Clearance and Citizenship Requirements
Must hold an active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) Clearance with Polygraph examination.
Profile of Success
Minimum of 8 years experience in IT, with 5+ years focusing on Cyber Security.
Prior experience with Information security risk assessment
Previously worked with 3rd party security assessment tools.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with technical experts, business managers, and senior leadership.
Ability to understand complex, technical issues and communicate them into meaningful business and risk guidance and recommendation.
Strong knowledge of operating systems (information and process) and networks.
Strong knowledge of computer vulnerabilities, hacker methodologies, and other threats.
Strong knowledge of widely recognized cybersecurity risk frameworks (i.e., NIST, ISO, etc.) and how to apply them within enterprise organizations.
Experience working with enterprise-level information security programs, including governance, risk assessment, policy/standards, technical controls, oversight and assurance, risk treatment, and security education/awareness.
Working knowledge of MS Office Suite, especially MS Word and Excel.
Ability to leverage various trusted sources of information (articles, webinars, internet, etc.) to gain accurate and updated knowledge on cybersecurity and recommend appropriate solutions.

Desirable Skills
10 years of experience preferred.
Current CompTIA Security+ Certification preferred or the ability to obtain CompTIA.
CISSP designation preferred.
Desire to obtain or utilize technical certifications as part of continuous professional growth.
