Ability to identify power tools, drills, and saws, and hand tools.
Ability to measure and mark surface to lay out work, according to blue prints or drawings, using tape measures, straight edges or squares, and marking devices.
Bolt, screw, clip, weld, or otherwise fasten parts and components together using hand and power tools and equipment.
Position and install parts, subassemblies and accessories using hand and power tools and other aids like overhead hoists.
Clean and perform preparation of assembly line.
Signal equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement, and adjustment of machinery, equipment, and materials.
Load, unload, and identify building materials, machinery, and tools, and distribute them to the appropriate locations, according to project plans and specifications.

This position requires shop work. When working in the shop, one must exercise caution as this environment presents many naturally-occurring and potentially worker-produced hazards.
Safety policies must be adhered to at all times. Appropriate personal protective equipment (i.e. safety glasses, steel-toed boots, and others) must be worn at all times where required.
It is very important that the incumbent of this position is able to work and communicate with prudence, while effectively managing time, completing tasks, and working safely.Job requires ability to work with a variety of hand and power tools.
Use of Personal Protection Equipment will be required (e.g. safety glasses, safety boots, etc.).
Regularly works near moving parts.
Must be able to lift, push, pull or carry objects, use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue.
Requires good manual dexterity (hand, hand with arm, two hands) and multi-limb coordination.
Noise levels can fluctuate from quiet to loud.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
High School Diploma or equivalent.
2+ years previous experience as an assembler, carpentry work, or home building is preferred.
Knowledge of workplace safety and safe lifting and handling procedures.
Knowledge of First Aid and CPR an asset.
Must have reliable transportation
