Primary duty is assembly and hydrostatictesting of tubular oilfield components used in downhole oil wellcompletions.
Keyareas of responsibility
Operation of hand tools and basic air tools
Parts are generally heavy (excess of 200 lbs.') and require the use ofoverhead crane
Should be capable of reading scaled manufacturing drawings as well ascapable of using dial calipers and analog OD/ID micrometers to verifydimensions of machined components.
Will be required to perform lot-batch management of raw materials andcomponents as per assembly procedure
Operate hydrostatic pressure test equipment to 4000 psi in the testingand qualification of finished components
Operate hydraulic press in assembly centers
Operate hydraulic torque/turn machine and be familiar with torque turnspecifications as per API specifications
Employees will be required to become forklift certified and operate a3,500 lb. forklift
High school or GED diploma
Needs good vision, coordination and dexterity to deal withhandling and manipulating materials and parts
Must be able to focus on the task at hand and pay attentionto details
High level of physical stamina and strength necessary forrepetitive work and long periods of standing, bending, twisting and lifting
