Main Duties & Responsibilities

Summary/Objective

An Assembly Traub Operator Trainee Labor Grade 6, must be able to run a minimum of three Traubs at 463 pieces per hour. A Traub operator must be able to use a comparator and torque tester. This position requires that the operator input measurements into the SPC System, and that they fill out a production log either electronically or manually on paper. Operator must be mechanically inclined and efficient at what they do. The Traub position requires good communication skills in English, excellent workmanship and team work.


Description of Essential Functions and

Responsibilities:

Under Managements direction and subject to periodic review, the operator performs the following:

  • Operates and maintain the equipment assigned to produce accurate assemblies.

  • Machines work pieces in accordance with customer and company specifications.

  • Makes data driven adjustments to work pieces so that the component meets all required specifications.

  • Records all pertinent information specific to the job they are working on clearly and legibly in the appropriate area and on appropriate documents.

  • Must take direction from their lead and Management.

  • Must always use and understand the Three Pan System to insure that a no groove condition never happens.

  • Must be able to use comparator and Torque tester and hold tolerance of plus/minus .001 and plus/minus 1 pound.

Qualifications

EDUCATION / TRAINING

Candidate must demonstrate competency surrounding key aspects tied to this role: Mechanical aptitude and principles, the ability to troubleshoot and problem solve, possesses the ability to read write English of a level required in Company shop documents, proficiency in computer software entry and processing requirements as well as technical manuals. Mathematical competency in demonstrating the ability to apply basic mathematical operations using fractions, decimals, algebra, trigonometry, and geometry is essential.

EXPERIENCE

Must have minimum 3 years of manufacturing experience preferably on a bowl fed automated lathe, Brown and Sharp, Davenport or Acme, Must be able to operate all stated equipment or the equivalent there of must be able to communicate in English verbally and in writing. Must be able to use all required measuring tools listed and not listed.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: * Vocational education or Technical Degree. * 1-3 years of experience in an Industrial Mechanic or Electrician role, preferably in the food industry. * Basic Mechanic Skills. * Basic Electrical Skills, performing breakdown analyses. * Basic and major equipment rebuilds, basic troubleshooting, advanced equipment adjustments. * Mechanical and electrical maintenance (both planned and unplanned) for production equipment and facilities. * Basic PLC/ Ladder Logic/ HMI, and fabrication. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: * Certification as an Industrial Maintenance Technician would enhance the performance of the job. * Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
