Pay Range: $21-$32 per hour. Time and a half over 8 hours in a day
Position Summary
Assemble and test hydraulic and mechanical specialty control components for power generation applications using tools and equipment in accordance with company and safety guidelines.
Responsibilities
Assembles large bills of materials including purchased and fabricated metal parts, valves, electrical control components, hydraulic soft goods (O-rings, seals, etc.) and hardware from engineered drawings.
Tests assembled units for acceptance to engineering and customer specifications for pressure, flow, leakage and trip times using required pressure and flow gages, electronic data capture equipment including electrical scopes and meters.
Tears down, cleans, assesses components for damage and return to service capability. Reassembles-to-print assemblies returned for repair.
Uses hand tools and power tools to assemble units according to product specifications.
Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Identifies and troubleshoots assembly and test issues.
Maintains a clean and uncluttered work area.
Performs additional duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
Must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Person/Permanent Resident "Green Card" holder.
High School graduate, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
Good mechanical ability and hands-on experience in assembling electrical control enclosures, motor assemblies and bearings.
Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, and assembly and mechanical drawings.
Familiarity with simple pneumatic and hydraulic control systems, and precision measuring instruments.
Experience with hydraulic and mechanical test equipment is a plus.
Welding experience a plus

The primary environment of this position is the manufacturing areas where under certain areas require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses with side shields, hearing protection, and proper footwear.
