We have an opportunity for a Temporary Assembly Technician to join our team in Kingston, NY. This Assembly Technician position is a full time position and may become contract to hire.

Responsibilities

  • Uses various types of hand tools in electro-mechanical assembly of laser-guided autonomous vehicles used in material handling applications.

  • Uses and interprets mechanical and electrical drawings to identify "best method" type approach to completing tasks.

  • Uses and interprets mechanical and electrical drawings to layout required equipment and materials prior to starting assembly.

  • Self-audits/inspects assembled work prior to final inspection, using drawings and checklists.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of medium/heavy mechanical assembly experience required.

  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, bills of material and electrical schematics.

  • Prior experience using hand tools and power tools.

  • Previous experience using fitting equipment (e.g. cutters, wire strippers, crimping tools).

  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

  • Ability to travel to and work at our Chalfont, PA location, when needed.

  • High School diploma.

The Technician I will perform routine animal husbandry and other production duties, and maintain supplies and environment of environmentally-controlled work area(s). ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Perform routine animal husbandry duties and monitor daily health and welfare to maintain quality and health of animals. * Handle, transfer, and distribute animals, supplies and waste as needed to and from work area(s). * Perform physical environment housekeeping duties and production operations according to Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) and/or Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Maintain recordkeeping pertaining to equipment operation, animal or supply area inventories. * Strictly follow all procedures necessary to maintain the isolator and/or barrier room barrier. * Operate equipment and use supplies according to safety guidelines. Perform all job-related duties in accordance with company safety procedures. * Perform all other related duties as assigned. The following are minimum requirements related to the Technician I position. QUALIFICATIONS: * Education: High school diploma or General Education Degree (G.E.D.). * Experience: Six to twelve months related experience in and/or training in animal husbandry. * An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above. * Certification/Licensure: Preference will be given for AALAS certification at the Assistant Technician or its equivalent.
