This position will be responsible for component builds, integration, testing of electromechanical assemblies of drone airborne agriculture sensors such as but not limited to cameras and stabilizing gimbals. The position will provide first class support to QC and QA procedures which will contribute to efforts meant to eliminate production defects. The individual will work with receiving, production scheduling and fulfillment to ensure timely completion of all orders.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Wired assembly integration / box build.

  • Cable harness build (solder, crimp).

  • Kitting assemblies.

  • Inventory management.

  • CCA programming.

  • Electromechanical checkout & testing.

  • Optical assembly, alignment and focusing.

  • Flight testing.

  • Document checkout test results.

  • Usage manuals for product.

  • Ensure sufficient material supply to support production.

  • Prep sales orders for shipping and fulfillment to streamline outgoing orders.

  • Provide a high level of Quality assurance, to maintaining quality control documents and to ensure all requirements, test and defects notices are up to date.

  • Keep a clean and safe work environment.

  • Core business hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., central time (40+ hour work week).

  • Comply with Company policies and procedures.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • 2-year degree in Electronics or similar or equivalent work experience.

  • 1-2 years of experience in electromechanical assembly and integration.

  • Experience in cable manufacturing and soldering.

  • Experience with electronics, loading firmware, checkout testing procedures.

  • Experience with unmanned drones.

  • Computer literate in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint.

  • Ability to work constructively within a team.

  • Experience with away point mobile apps such as Pix4D, FieldAgent, and Drone Deploy.

SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • Strong computer and technical skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Customer service oriented.

  • Analytical and detail oriented.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Maintain confidentiality of company information and data.

  • Ability to work within in a team or independently, with a can-do attitude, and willing to work until the job gets done.

  • Perform additional duties as directed by supervisor/management.

  • Help find ways for process improvement.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

  • Part 107 Certified Small Unmanned Aircraft Pilot is required.
  • A valid Driver's License.

The employee may occasionally be required to lift up to 10 pounds with arms extended and 45 pounds with arms not extended. The vision requirements include close and distant vision.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Travel as needed but not to exceed 30% of out-of-state travel and not exceed 60% of in state travel.

The general office environment will be a mixture of in the office lab tasks or outside at parks and fields for testing hardware.
