Assembly Engineering Coordinator

Location: Tarboro, NC, USA

Job Summary:

This role will be responsible for coordinating and planning engineering and maintenance activities in a high volume, high mix Tier 1 automotive facility. The incumbent will be responsible for leading the analysis of plant KPI's and leading continuous improvement of cost, quality and efficiency in the Assembly production area

This incumbent will work alongside maintenance, quality and production colleagues to improve existing processes and define new processes where needed. You will be able to provide process expertise regarding process improvement techniques to achieve corporate objectives within the costs allowable.

  • Organize and Assign Staff, and Direct Integration of New Model and Mass Production Activities.

  • Supervise and Develop Assembly Engineering Team

  • Provide technical and administrative support and guidance for direct reports

  • Recommend Methods for Improving Utilization of Personnel, Materials, and Utilities

  • Plan, Direct and Participate in Production Equipment Setup, Installation, Testing, and Repair.

  • Direct, Review, and Approve equipment designs, changes and testing

  • Lead continuous improvement activities on Assembly Production lines

  • Lead Root Cause Analysis for Quality and Efficiency Issues
