Oil and Gas Equipment and ComponentsLeader seeking an Assembler/Tuber

Position: Assembler/Tuber Day Shift- 12 hours and some weekends

Type: Contract to Permanent

Pay: Based on experience

Location: Houston, TX (North Houston)

Our clientis a leading oil and gas equipment and components provider based in Houston,Texas. They deliver a wide variety of smart, innovative and practical drilling enhancementtools for today's onshore and offshore oilfield projects and are in need of anAssembler/Tuber for a 6 month contract to direct assignment in Houston.

Position Summary

The owner of this role will beresponsible for Assembling, install, modify, test, and maintain mechanical,hydraulic/pneumatic equipment. Must be a highly motivated personality withoilfield assembly experience and manual tubing skills.


Ability to read and interpretblueprints, wiring diagrams, assembly prints, and schematics.

Assemble and install eithermechanical or hydraulic/pneumatic components.

Operate machines or use hand toolsand power tools to secure parts in place.

Install finished assemblies orsubassemblies.

Assemble and attach functional andcosmetic hardware to assemblies using hand tools and power tools.

Perform functional / continuitytests on completed assemblies.

May prioritize work based onproduction schedule.

Performs the assembly, start up,and function test of equipment systems.

Troubleshoots systems, makesnecessary repairs and any corrections to system.

Perform other work related task asrequired as assigned.

Comply with all Client and CompanyHSE procedures and policies.

Reads blueprint or job order forproduct specifications such as dimensions and tolerances and toolinginstructions such as fixtures, speeds, feed rates, depth of cut, determinessequence of observations.

Observes operation of machine andverifies conformance of machined work piece to specifications.

Follow safety guidelines andprocedures at all times.

Use common hand assembly toolssafely.

The ability to work effectively ona team with coworkers.

Keep assigned area clean.

Maintain work order, checklist anddata sheet of material traceability.

Perform regular inspections andmaintenance on cranes and tools used in assembly.

Perform other tasks asneeded and requested by upper management.

Requirements- Experience and Personal Attributes

  • Previous Assembly experience with Oil and Gas equipment preferred

  • Work with and operate over head cranes and jib cranes.

  • Must be able to work nights.

  • Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs.

  • May be required to stand 80% of work day.

  • May have to work with or around electrical equipment.

  • May have to work with or around chemicals.


High school diploma or general educationdegree

The job requires physical exertion including sitting, standing, walking, lifting up to forty (40) pounds, carrying, pushing, pulling, kneeling, squatting and a range of physical motion. The job requires operation of tools, machinery, equipment, computers and telephones.
