Perform skilled bench work to manufacture complex parts with tight tolerance to customer specifications through the use of common hand and power tools used by the aerospace industry.
Drill, countersink, rivet and mechanically assemble parts to close tolerance.
Utilize precision measuring devices to ensure conformity of manufactured parts, as well as determine necessary steps to correct any non-conformance parts processed.
Work with engineers, managers and quality personnel to resolve problems and confirm part conformance.
Use and interpret complicated prints, drawings and process sheets to perform a variety of layouts, in addition to the proper completion of job orders and detailed part or assembly documentation.
Learn and adhere to required safety standards and procedures.
Performs other duties as assigned.
1-2 years of manufacturing background, preferably in Aerospace assembly working with various sheet metal and machined components.
Ability to read, interpret and understand complicated blueprints, engineering drawings and documents.
Ability to pay exceptional attention to detail and have the capacity to handle multiple tasks effectively under deadline pressures while following direction and completing assignments accurately and on time.
Proficient computer systems skills.
Ability to operate a variety of handheld pneumatic tools, Drill Press, Rivet guns, Brake Press, and torque wrenches.
Familiarity with calipers and micrometers.
Previous resistance welding experience or willingness to be trained.
Ability to work with lab equipment (i.e. microscope and cut-off saw) to evaluate resistance welding parameters.
Learn to plan and perform difficult work processes.
Interact and communicate in a professional and effective manner with all levels of employees.
Schedule and organize time and tasks effectively.
Ability to work in a challenging and schedule driven environment
Strong organizational skills.
Experience with the application of braze pastes and foils a plus.
