Your responsibilities

JOB SUMMARY: The primary function of an Assembler is to learn all the basic job requirements for the timely and efficient building of track groups.

This entails zipping hardware, placing shoes, reading a work order and torqueing hardware mechanically and by hand. The employee will need to know how to wind up and secure completed track groups. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1.

Read and understand the information listed on a work order.2. Identify the components listed on the work order to the pieces on a pallet or box.3. Know and understand how to set a torque wrench for hand torqueing.4.

Know and understand how to read and set the automatic torque machine for various, different hardware.5. Must be able to fill out torque sheets properly and completely.6. Locate specific information on hardware boxes such as size and grade.7.

Must be able to wind track groups on the winder and secure them properly.8. As an assembler you must verify each chain by counting the number of links to verify correct length.9. Each employee must know the proper procedures/steps for oiling a chain.10.

Maintain a neat and orderly work area by keeping it free of debris and potential safety hazards including slips, trips and falls. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or requested.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis and up to 70 pounds occasionally.

The Role: Xylem seeks to hire a Pump Mechanic/Skilled Assembler to work first shift at our Pewaukee, WI location. Responsibilities will include assembling pumps, disassembling pumps, hydrostatic testing of pumps, performance testing of pumps, receiving and stocking inventory, pulling orders for both pump and parts orders, part identification, assembling parts orders, prepping and painting orders and final packaging for shipment. Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities: * Pump and parts order assembly * Pump disassembly and repair * Pump hydrostatic and performance testing * Receiving and stocking inventory * Prepping and painting of pump and parts orders * Packaging and shipment of pump and parts orders * Follow all safety protocols * Other Duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications: Education, Experience, Skills, Abilities, License/Certification: * High school diploma or equivalent; prefer at least two years of mechanical assembly experience. * Knowledge of rotating equipment a plus * Ability to build product from manuals and assembly instructions * Ability to adapt to varying work schedules and assignments, learning to satisfactorily complete a variety of job duties * Ability to operate a fork-lift truck and other lifting devices. * basic computer skills – MRP/ERP systems for receiving, inventory look up, and shipping; Basic computer navigation for online trainings, daily time recording, and email * Blueprint reading, measurement tool reading Physical Demands: (The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
