Join us, and BUILD YOUR WORLD. How you will contribute Valmont is currently seeking a highly motivated and talented individual for the Assembler position in the Global Utilities Division. We are looking for a highly driven individual that will assist in various daily manufacturing production activities across multiple departments within the Global Utilities Division.

Additionally, you will Assist in pre-fabricating materials for the next days production according to engineered design prints Gather, inspect, repair, and replace reusable materials and components for production rotation Work with Quality Assurance to perform any necessary cosmetic corrections to meet quality standards Assemble work stations and place all correct materials in boxes Clean general work area and ensure equipment, tools, and materials are properly store Assist with inventory of shop material and supplies including unloading receiving trucks and checking received goods What it takes Required Qualifications The ability to accurately use and read a tape measure Must be flexible to work extended hours including nights and weekends when necessary The ability to communicate and interact with coworkers in a positive manner The ability to pay attention to detail and follow work instructions The ability to work in a high volume, fast paced environment Highly qualified candidates will also possess: High School Diploma or GED equivalent One year of previous experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment One year of previous experience operating a forklift in a professional environment One year of previous experience operating power tools in a professional environment The ability to read and comprehend engineered prints Must have a high awareness for safety at all times Must be a person of passion and integrity who has the drive to excel and deliver exceptional results #UT (Utility) Valmont does not discriminate against any employee or applicant in employment opportunities or practices on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, genetic information, veteran status, disability or any other characteristic protected by law. Job Overview TE Connectivity's Assembly Teams operate assigned automated assembly machinery, ensure component flow, troubleshoot and correct machinery issues to ensure quality and productivity. They perform changeovers and setups according to production schedule, perform quality checks according to established processes and document the results as required by our quality procedures. Every team member is responsible for maintaining housekeeping and organization of the work area as well as following TE Connectivity's EH&S policies and procedures. Responsibilities & Qualifications Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Work with Team Leads and Production Manager to carry out all required tasks * Work in accordance with company and departmental policies and procedures * Work from Engineering (mechanical) drawings and procedures to assemble and/or test connectors and various interfacing assemblies * Terminate electrical and optical contacts, connectors and switches using various cables, fiber, tools and equipment, and epoxies. * Able to solder proficiently and in accordance with industry and company standards * Able to perform optical fusion splicing proficiently and in accordance with industry and company standards. * Able to perform overmolding using industry standard materials and practices. * Work with various chemicals (e.g. oil, MEK, Flux, epoxy, etc) and understand SDS requirements * Use test equipment for both electrical and optical performance testing. * Maintain equipment in accordance with company policies and recommended maintenance schedules * Maintain detailed documentation of all work performed * Confer with technical staff to conduct analyses, interpret test results, or develop non-standard tests * Maintain set schedules * Maintain workspace in accordance with TE Operating Advantage (TEOA) methodologies, including; LEAN Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, etc. * Regular reporting to Production Manager * Qualifications, Education and Experience * To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. * High school graduate or equivalent and at least four, or more, years related experience and/or training in a similar environment and role * Must be fluent in English and competent in written/verbal communication, Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
