Coherex Medical, Inc., a member of the Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies and Biosense Webster, Inc. business, is hiring an Assembler Technician to join the manufacturing department. The Assembler Technician is responsible for assembling and/or producing products according to detailed manufacturing processes while being accountable for adhering to all quality and safety guidelines.

Atrial fibrillation (AFIB) is a quivering or irregular heartbeat (arrhythmia) that can lead to blood clots, stroke, heart failure and other heart-related complications. 20 million people around the world suffer from AFIB each year. Biosense Webster, Inc. is the global leader in the science of diagnosing and treating heart rhythm disorders. The company established its leadership in electrophysiology with the development of the first real-time, 3D cardiac mapping and navigation technology, as well as the first electrophysiology catheter. The introduction of the company's CARTO 3 System in 2009 revolutionized 3D mapping technology by increasing the accuracy, speed, and efficiency of the cardiac ablation procedure.

As an Assembler Technician, you will:

  • Perform elementary and routine tasks in the preparation for medical device assembly.

  • Place parts in specified relationship to each other per written documentation.

  • Assemble products according to approved Manufacturing Work Instructions (MFWIs

  • Operate machines of limited complexity to perform assembly process different assembly lines.

  • Be proficient at multiple tasks within assembly lines.

  • Work on line where tasks vary as different model of same article moves along line.

  • May conduct quality inspection of own or other's work.

  • Responsible for meeting or exceeding all established quality standards.

  • Expected to follow GMPs, ISO, Safety, SOPs and other manufacturing related documentation.

  • Maintain clean and orderly workstation.

  • May train other operators.

  • May work with engineers, as needed for product improvements.

  • May perform assembly of custom products.

  • May enter 'lot' information into Manufacturing System (PC).

  • Properly completes manufacturing documentation.

  • Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level.

  • Responsible to align with all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices.

  • Perform other duties assigned as needed.


  • A minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent is required.

  • A minimum of one (1) year of related work experience and/or training is required.

  • The ability to perform two (2) or more critical operations within the Implant Assembly line and two (2) or more within the Delivery System line is required.

  • The ability to perform three (3) or four (4) operations at a competent level throughout all product including packaging of the 2 product families is required.

  • The ability to train others in at least two (2) other jobs is required.

  • The ability to identify necessary changes to documentation is required.

  • This role requires the use of a microscope for extended periods of time.

  • Must exemplify good teamwork skills.

  • This role operates under a Monday- Friday, 7 AM 3:30 PM shift. Weekend and overtime work may be required.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand and walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hand and arms.

  • The employee is required to wear special garments when working in a clean room environment.

  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to twenty-five (25) pounds.

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.

The Coat Lab Assembly team at Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is looking for you to join our team as an Assembler 1 based out of Salt Lake City, UT. What You'll get to Do: * Work from diagrams and drawings, make initial layouts, and use hand tools. * Make continuity checks on work in process and completed. * May conduct quality inspections on processing line in accordance with quality specifications. * May disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions. * Notify team leader or supervisor of any problems that may be causing a delay in production schedule or possible quality defects. * May require working with adhesives, chemical cleaners, coating materials and other commonly used chemicals used in manufacturing.
