About This Role
This is a short-term contract position that is expected to be completed by Aug 2024. The incumbent for this role will be hired through our vendor, Broadleaf.
Summary
Assembles electro-mechanical systems or support structures and installs components, units, subassemblies, wiring, or assembly casings. Reads and interprets electrical diagrams/mechanical drawings and execute the assembly of training equipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Works from diagrams and drawings, makes initial layouts, and uses hand and/or power tools, jigs, and saws
May conduct quality inspections on processing line in accordance with quality specifications
May disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions
Qualifications and Education Requirements
High school diploma or GED and 0-3 years of work experience.
Must have strong mechanical abilities
Minimum 3 years experience in reading and understanding blueprints, electronic schematics, wire lists and work instructions
Work history with mechanical assemblies
Minimum 3 years experience with hand tools and measuring equipment
Willing to travel

Security Responsibilities
Must comply with all company security and data protection / usage policies and procedures. Personally responsible for proper marking and handling of all information and materials, in any form. Shall not divulge any information, or afford access, to other employees not having a need-to-know. Shall not divulge information outside company without management approval. All government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company provided resources.

Work Environment
Working in a production environment on large steel structure simulators.
Busy pace while performing multiple tasks as delegated by leadership.
Compliance to OSHA and Site Safety regulations are required.
Steel/Composite toe shoes/boots are required.
Additional PPE will be provided.
Must be able to work overtime as needed.
Regular schedule is Mon-Sat, beginning at 7AM EST.
Must be able to work 50 hours per week, 6 days a week (Mon-Sat)
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
Salary Range: $25.48 - $28.17
The actual compensation rate is subject to the evaluation of the following factors (but not limited to): the candidate's work experience, qualifications, skills, internal equity, and market.
