As an Assembly Operator, you will assemble complex cabling and wiring assemblies following specifications (Engineering prints and process instructions).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Proficient at following schematics for proper installation of components to ensure quality of the finished product.

  • Work with small parts, using soldering irons and small hand tools (preferred).

  • Read and verify drawings/blueprints, production documentation and maintain high-quality workmanship.

  • Be detail-orientated, self-sufficient, and able to meet production quota in a timely manner.

  • Perform in a safe and productive manner in compliance with company policies.

  • Maintain workstations in a clean and orderly fashion.

  • Perform other duties as required by supervisor or management.

REQUIREMENTS FOR CONSIDERATION:

  • High school graduate preferred but not required.

  • Basic math skills and ability to read and write English preferred.

  • Good vision (natural or corrected), excellent hand dexterity in both hands.

  • Repeated standing, walking, and bending are required.

  • Ability to perform in a production environment with unusual conditions such as high-volume noise level and dust.

  • Experience in the use of the microscope and typical hand tools include crimpers, calipers, micrometers, gauges, measuring tape, cable cutters.

  • Ability to interpret drawings and dimensional requirements are required.

  • At times you will be required to lift up to 50 Lbs.

  • Must be available to work overtime including weekends.

  • The following is preferred but not required: electrical testing, soldering, fiber optic processing (cut, strip, clean and inspect fiber optic cables).

  • Attend training sessions as required to meet standards of job-related activities relating to all HSC applications.

  • Participate in cross-training efforts interfacing with other departments to acquire additional skills and knowledge for advancement.

  • Must be responsive to department personnel/staff to promote a team-player environment.

Salary Minimum: $40,000
