Assembler

Randstad's client located in Merrimack NH is currently looking to hire an Experienced Mechanical Assembler for their Temp to Hire Opportunity!

Hours: 7am-3:30pm $13-$15 per hour based on experience. (some overtime, weekend or shift work on a periodic basis based on manufacturing workload)

Responsibilities:

Job duties include but are not limited to:

  • Assembly and operation of spray nozzles, automated spray systems.

  • Operation and testing of spray nozzles, system maintenance between runs, fluid evaluation/changes as necessary, and insulation repair/replacement as required.-

  • Inspection using micrometers, tape measures, and angle measurements

Working hours: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Skills:

Experience preferred in the following areas:

  • Mechanical assembly, testing, trouble-shooting, industrial equipment installation, and start-up.

  • Measuring tools

  • Able to read from blueprint or spec sheet

  • Assembly and/or operation of spraying nozzles.

  • Instrument Diagrams, assembly drawings.

  • Incoming and sub-assembly inspection.

Must have:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience working in a production setting working under strict tolerances and specifications focusing on mechanical assembly

  • Ability to read, write and speak English

Responsibilities The Assembly Specialist I is required to assemble, inspect and perform acceptance testing on complex electro-mechanical-optical systems. To accomplish this effectively, the Assembly Specialist I works independently from engineering drawings, engineering changes, bills of material, work instructions, test procedures and production schedules. The Assembly Specialist I is also required to fault isolate manufacturing or workmanship defects and initiate corrective action. Preparation of detailed assembly work instructions may be required. Disassembly, fault isolation and repair of product in a repair depot at Elbit Systems of America- Merrimack or other off-site geographic location may also be required. Key member in supporting transition programs. Typical duties may include, but would not be limited to those listed below. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES Perform a wide variety of operational tests on complex subassemblies, instruments and systems where complete information may be lacking, or from oral instructions requiring independent technical judgment and considerable initiative and specialized experience. Troubleshoot, repair and adjust complex subsystems, instruments and systems so that performance complies with specifications. Determine cause of system malfunction and recommend required rework. Recommend changes in procedures that would contribute to the improvement of the product or process. Prepare and maintain accurate records to aid in trending and corrective action. Using a computer, assist in preparing assembly, alignment or repair work instructions. Must be able to perform all subordinate tasks required to accomplish the above duties and perform other related duties as required. Responsible for the safe handling and disposal of hazardous materials and waste. Maintain accurate logs and records. Assist other employees in learning new duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent and 6-8 years experience in manufacturing complex electro-mechanical subassemblies, major assemblies and systems. Must be capable of working independently from engineering drawings, schematics, performance specifications, quality standards and customer repair orders. Intermediate-level computer operations skills required for access to technical data and preparation of work instructions or other required documents.
