Reporting to the Quality Manager, the Quality Auditorparticipates in the execution of the Quality Assurance functions, including butnot limited to quality policies, procedures and programs to ensure complianceto the current Quality Management System and customer specifications, andparticipates in programs to deliver customer satisfaction. Interpretsengineering drawings and specifications, customer quality requirements, andcompany quality requirements to ensure compliance with the customer'sexpectations.
Applies modern quality principles, concepts, and methods,including Lean Manufacturing and process variation management tools tocontinuously improve processes and ensure the quality of products offered.Participates in root cause and corrective action activities, failureinvestigations, metrics creation and quality improvement projects. Reviews andverifies First Article Inspection, control plan audits and finished productinspections to ensure compliance with customer specifications.
Executes unit and process inspection and evaluation
Executes tasks by adhering to forms and instructions
Investigates, analyzes, and assures accuracy of informationentered into Quality managed data collection tools as directed by QualityEngineer / Manager
Provides statistical and graphical analysis of data
Uses data to implement error proofing tools, system andprocesses to prevent defects
Give focus to defect prevention, control plan audits and endof the line inspection audits
Must be able to identify and implement corrective actionsfor quality issues
Willingness to move to different assignments within the
Quality organization as required to meet cross-training expectations of theposition and needs of the business. Forexample, position will require movement to each value stream and/or fabricationarea within the organization. Inaddition, position may require movement to assembly tool maintenance, repair,and calibration, scrap and purchased non-conformant part processing, and/orassembly process and finished goods unit auditing.
Maintains quality assurance objectives to maximize customerexpectations as well as product reliability and minimize costs in the followingareas: Defects/Car, Field Failures, Scrap and Rework.
Job performance will bestrongly measured in these areas. Individual is responsible for initiation ofcommunication to Quality Engineer / Manager in these areas as well as when qualityresults are below standards or management expectations.
Understanding of the ISO and AS9100 requirements and relatedQMS processes
Performs First Article Inspection assessments per AS9100 andcustomer specifications for verification of customer requirements
Participation in programs that consistently meet or exceedour customers' quality standards and maintain full compliance with QualitySystems
Knowledge of inspection gauges and methods including but notlimited to micrometers, calipers, height gauge, CMM.
Reviews suspect nonconforming purchased product and assistswith part disposition
Inspecting/auditing parts and vehicles with maintenance ofrecords and logs
Participates in internal audits of QMS under the directionof a lead auditor
Participates in determining root cause of defects andassists in the corrective action process
Participates in the generation of work instructions.
Demonstrates leadership and commitment to the Company'sGroup Value Statement through personal example and actions
Performs all other related duties as required by management
Associate or Technical Degree and 2 years experience in a manufacturing/distribution environment preferred
Experience in fabrication processes or unit troubleshooting preferred
Technical training or engineering support experience in automotive or golf car industry preferred.
Some college coursework with at least 5 years relevant experience will qualify

Able to act as technical resource for departmental inspection, receiving inspection, in process auditing, and final inspection. Moderate computer and statistical analysis skills preferred.
