Assembler

Overview:

Meritor is hiring talented assemblers to join our Oshkosh team! If you are excited to be part of a winning team, Meritor is a great place to work. This role will require the precise assembly of axle parts. This position completes tasks at work stations assigned by the Production Coordinator.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Requires the precise assembly of axle parts.

• Uses powered and hand tools, lift assist devices

• Uses various testing methods to ensure safe production and a quality product.

• Completes tasks at assigned work stations, using defined methods in work instructions.

• Requires the ability to read Bills of Materials, blue prints

• Requires the ability to accurately follow work instructions.

• Support and adhere to all EHS policies and procedures

REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Education

• High School Diploma is required

• Qualified candidates must have a mechanical aptitude and prior experience with hand and power tools.

• Qualified candidates must be able to pass all Powered-Industrial Truck Certifications needed to successfully perform all job tasks.

• Qualified candidates must be able to pass all EHS Safety requirements.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in heavy manufacturing or heavy assembly is preferred

• Candidates must also have strong attention to detail and be flexible with assignment of job tasks.
