Performs assembly functions on mechanical hardware.

Verify conformance of parts using blueprints, using measuring instruments, such as calipers, gauges, or micrometers.

Work with engineering to build and repair tooling.

Must have the ability to work 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement between Lockheed Martin and the UAW.

Basic Qualifications

Prior experience with mechanical / mechanic assembly using blueprints, measuring instruments, such as calipers, gauges, or micrometers

Use of various hand tools.

The ability to read and utilize process plans, sketches, photographs and data to outline the work to be performed.

Must have the ability to work 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement.

Basic Qualifications Subcontracting experience associated with complex assemblies, and equipment within Defense or Aerospace industries Thorough knowledge of DoD acquisition policies and requirements for FAR / DFAR based contracts and internal acquisition policies and procedures such as Lockheed Martin Acquisition Procedures (LMAP) Strong demonstrated negotiation skills Strong knowledge of standard contract types Proficient computer skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint Team oriented with demonstrated organizational skills Strong interpersonal skills and Demonstrated communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation) Ability to interact with senior internal and external personnel on significant matters which often requires coordination between functional organizations and ability to present effectively to all levels of management.
