Performs basic and routine electronic repair operations on RMA units,Test Fixtures, and Test Stations. Builds and repairs Test fixtures and stations for service centers.
Rebuilds assemblies to meet production schedules and performance standards. Receives instructions on daily work and new assignments. Duties and tasks are standardized but what is performed day to day will vary.
Performs mechanical repair and assembly operations for Test Engineering.
Uses Operational Method Sheets, Service Kits, drawings, schematics, and verbal/written Technician instructions to build, repair, modify, rework and re-assemble test assenblies.
Uses assembly equipment such as: torque drivers, soldering irons, hand tools, hydrolic presses, ovens, lifting systems and chemical baths.
May use power tools to modify sheetmetal
May be required to plumb water connections and solder pipe.
Accurately and completely documents repair activities and test results.
Maintains fixturing, performs calibration, preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance.
Works on assignments that are semi routine in nature. The ability to recognize nonconformities is required.
Considers the impact of quality on the customers when making decisions.
Communicates openly and effectively in a professional manner.
Understands and follows all safety requirements.
Understands and follows ISO practices and procedures.
Light travel may be required from time to time, domestic or international.

Proven ability and experience maintaining flexibility and being able to adapt in a team environment.
Knowledge and understanding of ESD practices.

Basic knowledge of ERP systems.
Previous experience in electro/mechanical assembly preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Works in a manufacturing environment which may be noisy and fast paced.
Many tasks are repetitive in motion and include the use of electronic assembly equipment.
Overtime (OT) may be required in times of increased production.

Service Assembler I
Basic knowledge of electro-mechanical assembly.
Works under direct supervision.
Minimal problem solving and interfacing with other departments.
Working knowledge of pertinent SAP tasks.
Typically works on only one or two product platforms.
Service Assembler II
All of the requirements of an Assembler I.
Works under limited supervision.
Intermediate knowledge of electro-mechanical assembly.
Trains others on products and processes.
Cross-trained on multiple product platforms.
Understands Lean Manufacturing and 5S concepts.
Intermediate computer knowledge to include AE Nexus, Excel, Word and Outlook.
Proficient in all pertinent SAP applications.
Provides complete and accurate RMA reports.
Minimum of two years electro-mechanical assembly experience (or equivalent).
Service Assembler III
All of the requirements of an Assembler II.
Works under minimal supervision.
Advanced knowledge of electro-mechanical assembly.
Works on assignments that could be moderate to complex in nature.
Uses initiative and judgment to solve problems.
Displays leadership traits by acting as apositive role model for others.
May lead a small project and provide direction to others.
May assist a Supervisor from time to time in running a line.
Ability to maintain a professional rapport with support groups and peers while achieving results.
Ability to provide seamless coverage when asked to flex between different lines with minimal training.
Ability to manage priorities and demonstrates a high level of initiative.
Looked to as SME for certain product platforms; provides training on products and processes as needed.
Strong understanding and compliance with Lean Manufacturing and 5S concepts. May be looked to as a team lead for the implementation and maintenance of certain components of such concepts.
Initiates and contributes to improving processes, lead times, through-put and cost reductions.
May participate in Mechanical Design reviews for Servicability.
May serve as a Product Certifier.
Minimum of five years electro-mechanical assembly experience (or equivalent).
