We are looking for an ASSEMBLER II

What we bring to you:

  • Compensation-$15.00-$17.50 (depending on experience) and quarterly bonus dependent on profitability.

What our ASSEMBLER II does:

  • Assembling the components of the job, which may include machining and/or assembling various millwork products such as exterior and interior door units.

  • Operating machinery that modifies the product (ex. chop saws)

  • Preparing the product for shipment by applying casing, sleeves, labels, etc.

  • Inspecting the overall quality and accuracy of assembled product throughout the assembly process

  • Repairing and disassembling returned or defective millwork to prepare it for resale or return to stock.

  • Performing routine maintenance on all tools used including cleaning, oiling, checking to ensure proper functioning, calibrating machines, checking measuring tool accuracy, and notifying a supervisor of larger repairs or malfunctions.

  • Working in a safe manner:

  • Participating in all safety training and meetings

  • Understanding and complying with the Company safety policy

  • TOOLS USED: Include but are not limited to chop saw, table saw, rip saw, hand saw; router, nail gun, screw gun, door machine, various pneumatic tools, and drills.

What you need to have:

  • High School diploma or GED and one to two years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos. Ability to write correspondence, effectively present information in one-on-one or small group situations.

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to perform these operations using weight measurements, volume, and distance.

  • Might require forklift certification, depending upon branch requirements.

  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to understand branch and industry standards in identification, measurement, repairs, replacements, and modification of products.
