Position Summary:

Assembles and packs medical devices in a clean room/non-clean room environment following written and verbal specifications while performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assembles medical devices following strict GMP's, specifications and procedures.

  • Able to follow direction, rules and policies with minimal supervision.

  • Manual Dexterity and good vision are a must.

  • Able to determine quality of product at each stage of development and communicate issues and deviations regarding products and process immediately.

  • Should be able to work in team and groups assuring excellent relationships and avoiding personal conflict.

  • Availability to rotate in different operations in the manufacturing process or different manufacturing lines as required per training module qualification.

  • Ability to perform basic equipment setup.

  • When needed, may be requested to document data or results regarding manufacturing processes and assure that the information is accurate and according to GDP's.

  • Should follow Safety requirements, instructions and procedures.

  • Be careful when handling product, materials or tools to avoid damages, lost and scrap generation.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to read and comprehend manufacturing procedures.

  • Ability to read and write basic English.

  • Ability to communicate with leads and supervisors

  • High school diploma or equivalent; 1-3 years related experience and/or training and clean room manufacturing experience a plus.

  • Reaching. Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.

  • Standing. Particularly for sustained periods of time.

  • Walking. Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another.

  • Pushing. Using upper extremities to press against something with steady force in order to thrust forward, downward or outward.

  • Pulling. Using upper extremities to exert force in order to draw, haul or tug objects in a sustained motion.

  • Lifting. Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position-to-position. This factor is important if it occurs to a considerable degree and requires substantial use of upper extremities and back muscles.

  • Fingering. Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working, primarily with fingers rather than with the whole hand as in handling.

  • Grasping. Applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palm.

  • Feeling. Perceiving attributes of objects, such as size, shape, temperature or texture by touching with skin, particularly that of fingertips.

  • Talking. Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly.

  • Hearing. Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and to make the discriminations in sound.

  • Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.

  • Medium work. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

  • The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication parts at distances close to the eyes.

  • The worker is subject to noise. There is sufficient noise to cause the worker to shout in order to be heard above ambient noise level.

  • The worker is subject to hazards. Includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to high heat or exposure to chemicals.

This position is in our Irvine, CA location. This position is responsible for the assembly of sub-assemblies and top level assemblies fuel components while working from verbal instructions, blueprints, operation sketches and assembly drawings. Position will work closely with other Assembly Technicians and assist Manufacturing Engineering when needed to support the development work instructions, tools and fixtures. It's where bold, bright professionals like you can reach your full potential—and where you can help us reach ours In this function you will: * Assemble parts or units, and position, align, and fasten units to assemblies, subassemblies, or frames using hand tools and power tools * Disassemble and assemble product that is returned for repair * Utilize hand tools such as pliers, wrenches, screwdrivers, arbor press, vises, soldering iron, micrometers, calipers and indicators * Use routing sheets, operating instruction sheets or other documentation to ensure proper assembly of parts.
