You will be part of a dedicated, experienced, and high-performing team at the Medtronic Energy and Component Center (MECC) in Brooklyn Center, MN. At this facility, we design, develop, and manufacture components used in medical devices such as pacemakers, neurostimulators, implantable cardio-defibrillators and insulin pumps. The assembler role is responsible for the day-to-day production of components used in our various medical devices. You will be a key member of a manufacturing team that is dedicated to safety, quality, continuous improvement and achieving production goals. This position has a targeted start date of mid-November 2024.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

• Performs a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations.

• Works from visual aids, method layouts, diagrams, schematics, process flow sheets and written or verbal assembly instructions.

• Sets initial layouts, and uses a variety of tools to prepare product(s).

• Makes continuity checks on work in process and completed.

• May conduct quality inspections on processing line in accordance with quality specifications.

• May disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Perform finer assembly skills including microscopes.

• Perform final inspections/testing.

• Ability to train in multiple areas.

• Experience working in an clean room manufacturing environment.

• Hands on, self-reliant, and strong attention to detail

• Team player with high personal motivation.

• Work with minimal direction

• Strong problem-solving skills

• High awareness of the importance of quality and safety.

• Excellent communication skills and a team focused work ethic.

• Experience was fast production ramp-ups.

• Basic-to-advanced computer literacy skills

Requires minimum of 2 years of experience and may require vocational or technical education or certification in addition to prior work experience.

May require vocational training and/or certification .

Mexico: Requires an Elementary school degree / GED or equivalent.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$37,200.00 - $55,800.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Operations Incentive Plan (OIP).

The starting base rate of pay for this position and location is $20.50 per hour. The base rate is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
