GA Industries LLC designs, manufactures, and markets a wide range of valve products including check valves, air valves, ball valves, butterfly valves, plug valves and automatic control valves, focusing on the needs of the water and wastewater industry. Build custom and/or standard product from blueprints by assembling mechanical parts, components and/or products.
Fits and assembles components according to assembly blueprints, manuals, engineering memos, sketches and knowledge of machine construction to construct and rebuild equipment using hand tools and power tools.
Verifies conformance of parts to stock lists and blueprints using measuring instruments such as calipers, gauges and micrometers.
Lays out hole locations and drills and taps holes on parts for assembly. Set up, fit, bolt and dowel in place large parts such as frames, brackets, etc. Positions parts and components such as motors, gear boxes, drive trains in and on frame of machine.
Manage assembly time to ensure completion of assigned projects within specified time frame. Dissemble and inspect machine after testing to prepare for shipment to customer.

Assemble, test, and inspect multiple product types from start to finish.
Work closely with operations support team. (Planner, Shop Leads, Mfg Engineering, Quality)
Responsible for maintaining quality expectations and hitting daily production goals.
Prepare orders for shipping with proper documentation.
Complete all related paper work - work orders, inspection documents, and tracking sheets as required.
Proficient use of computer.
Maintain a clean and safe workplace in accordance with Rexnord policies, 5S procedures, and in line with Rexnord core values.
Flex to other areas as production schedule dictates.
2-3 years of experience with precision assembly work. Previous experience working with motion control products is a plus.
Accurately read and comprehend work routings, blue prints, and work instructions.
Utilize manual dexterity while working with hand tools and power tools.
Ability to use measuring equipment such as micrometer, caliper, and indicators.
Knowledge of and ability to compute basic arithmetic.
Work closely with operations support team. (Planner, Shop Leads, Mfg. Engineering, Quality)
Effectively communicate and work in a team environment.
Ability to carry out tasks that require a sequence of steps usually performed in a particular order.
Mechanical ability to solve problems in situations that are not defined.
