Job Description

This position requires a 3-3-1 schedule of either A Team, B Team, or C Team Schedule. Shift and training schedule will be determined upon offer. Once training is completed, employee will go to offered shift if different than training schedule.

(Team A Schedule 6:00am-6:30pm) which includes:

Week 1: 3 days (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday)

Week 2: 4 days (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and every other Saturday)*

(Team B Schedule 6:00pm-6:30am) which includes:

Week 1: 3 days (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday)

Week 2: 4 days (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and every other Saturday)*

(Team C Schedule 6:00am-6:30pm) which includes:

Week 1: 3 days (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday)*

Week 2: 4 days (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and every other Saturday)*

  • Hours/schedule may be modified due to Company need.

Includes: 80 Hours of Holiday Pay per year, 80 Hours of Vacation accumulating bi-weekly per year, 40 Hours Sick accumulating bi-weekly per year.

Job Summary & Essential Functions: The following describes in general terms the purpose and scope of the position. An Assembler is responsible for assembling components parts and installing hardware.

Positions parts according to work order and blueprint specifications.

Fastens parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets, or other fasteners including sealant and adhesives.

Removes small quantities of metal with hand files, blenders, and rollers to produce close fit between parts.

Operates drill press, hot dimpler, or riveting machine to assist in assembly operation.

Operates spot welder machines.

Continuously improve the assembly process and contribute to the teamwork necessary to continuously improve other processes.

Responsible for the proper handling and management of hazardous waste generated in their work area.

Performs other duties and assignments as directed.

Basic computer knowledge and skills

Ability to operate a forklift

Ability to use measuring instruments including but not limited to calipers, scales, tape measure, and apply decimals

Read and understand internal procedures and policies

Read, understand, and apply customer specifications including but not limited to Airbus, Boeing, Spirit, etc.

Understand and follow through on both verbal and written instructions

Team oriented with a continuous improvement outlook

Required Experience/Education/Training/Certifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must possess the outlined experience level, education, training, minimum years of experience, product or industry knowledge plus any certifications in order to be considered.

High School Diploma; up to 3 years related experience in job function and/or training; equivalent combination of education and experience

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and mylars

Basic computer knowledge and skills

Work Environment and Safety Equipment Required: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of the job.

Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.

Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel or crouch.

Must be able to communicate effectively

Daily Hand Exercises Required.

Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Working conditions are: 100% manufacturing environment.

Noise level is usually moderate.

Frequently required to work near moving mechanical parts.

Frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles.

Occasionally exposed to vibration, extreme cold and extreme heat.

Safety glasses (ANSI Z87 compliant) required in all manufacturing areas.

Hearing protection must be worn in designated areas.

Safety Footwear shall be in accordance with the following: ASTM standard F2413-05 with minimum impact resistance, compression resistance and metatarsal designation ratings of 75 foot pounds (i.e. ASTM F2413-05 I/75 C/75 Mt/75), which are viewable on the inside tag of footwear.
