Works from production/assembly instructions, parts lists, wire lists, diagrams, verbal instructions and notes to assemble, wire and install a wide variety of components.
Identifies and selects components to be integrated into subassembly and assembly units.
Utilizes small hand tools such as soldering irons, wire strippers, crimpers, wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, and hammers.
Must be skilled in the use of air powered hand tools and measuring devices (calipers, gauges, rules).
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); OR one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
Basic knowledge of working in an aerospace environment is desired.
Experience in the assembly of interior aerospace products is strongly desired but not required if candidate displays aptitude to learn new skills with minimal instruction from trained workers.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Cabinetry or aerospace experience a plus.
