General Summary.

The Assembler is responsible for the accurate building and assemble product within specified timelines and in accordance with preapproved guidelines.

This position will be responsible for..

  • Open cases of stock using blades and dispose of over-wrap in appropriate waste disposals.

  • Inspect product for quality, collect damaged product in designated bins and stack good product on available tables.

  • Build components and prepare cardboard packing boxes, fill complet4ed displays with inspected product per assigned instruction as explained by Lead/

  • Operation, when necessary, shrink wrap machine, banding machine, clamshell machine and glue machine as needed.

  • Seal and label cases of finished goods using tape machine and date coders.

  • Stack finished goods on pallets.

  • Complete work in a successful, safe matter.

  • Maintain confidentiality of all business and personnel matters.

  • All other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience

  • High school diploma or GED and 0-2 years of relevant experience.

  • Previous assembly experience preferred.

  • Previous warehousing experience preferred.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Customer service driven.

  • Strong team player.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING. OTHER DUTIES MAY BE ASSIGNED * Installs parts according to the Assembly Manual, special instructions, prints or other documentation. * Utilizes air gun, radial drill, cutoff saw, and other powered tools to fabricate parts for installation. * Completes layouts for header panels and cuts appropriate sized holes. * Works at different work stations as production needs require. * Operates overhead crane to move subassemblies into place. * Removes materials from crates and boxes. * Verifies quality of work performed and documents results. Takes appropriate corrective action if a deviation is found. * Perform safety observations/inspections as required. * Indoctrinates new employees concerning Plant Safety rules and guidelines. * Adheres to the Company's Code of Conduct and Business Ethics standards. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. LANGUAGE ABILITY Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos (i.e. safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, shop-floor paperwork, and procedure manuals). Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. MATH ABILITY Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
