The Sanmina Fremont facility is a full-service enclosure systems solution manufacturing plant. Located in California's Silicon Valley, this facility produces low-to-mid volume New Product Introduction (NPI) runs to full-scale volume. The Fremont facility offers everything from small piece parts to fully integrated and tested systems. In addition, this location offers in-house painting capabilities and flexible logistics solutions in distribution, inventory management and hubbing, as well as repair services.

Job Purpose

Performs a wide variety of electronic or electro-mechanical assembly operations on assemblies or sub-assemblies. and/or follows methods and sequence of operations in performing wiring, component installation, hand soldering and cable harnessing on assembly units. Makes setups and adjustments holding tolerances to blueprint specifications.

Nature of Duties/Responsibilities

  • Builds both basic and complex mechanical assemblies.

  • Assist with loading the carts and other material handling duties.

  • Operate various hand tools.

  • Performs other assembly related duties.

  • Follows all company and facility policies including quality, safety, conduct and attendance.

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent is desired

  • Previous assembly experience is desired

  • Must be mechanically inclined

  • Must be able to read and understand English

  • Must be willing to work overtime

  • Need to be flexible with changes

  • Able to lift 20 lbs

ESSENTIAL DUTIES * Must set-up and operate all complicated assembly and test stations. * Set-up, assemble, repair, test and pack both sub-assemblies and completed assemblies. * Maintain required work efficiency and productivity at all work stations/assembly lines. * Operate test equipment to assure required specifications are met and to report discrepancies. * Monitor daily quality of assemblies and communicate any discrepancies. * Train and direct co-workers on a regular basis. * Maintain report inventory accuracy. * Ability to perform all job requirements of Class "B" Assembler. * Other duties as assigned. POSITION REQUIREMENTS * High school diploma or equivalent * Requires a minimum of 3-5 years assembly experience to gain the flexibility to perform efficiently on all assembly lines and testing. * Math for manufacturing, blue print reading for manufacturing, measurement skills for manufacturing. * Requires the ability to lay-out, set-up and perform standard operations or perform unique operations where quality, tolerances, set-up and operations sequence are specified. * Requires the ability to add and subtract decimals or fractions and work from operations layouts and written instructions. * Ability to train and direct co-workers. * Ability to maintain inventory accuracy. * Ability to perform all job requirements of a Class "B" Assembler.
