Primary Responsibilities:
Accountable for the execution of strategic initiatives and daily operations related to the supply of inventory into the Optum Infusion network of pharmacies, including the procurement and inventory management of critical product lines, mitigation of supply chain disruptions and product shortages, and overseeing the operational relationships with key suppliers
Establish collaborative environment with key suppliers and business partners to optimize supplier performance and innovation; serve as an escalation point for systemic performance issues; oversee the publishing of supplier KPIs to internal stakeholders
Lead development of a playbook to proactively identify critical product shortages in the market and associated actions to mitigate impacts to patients and business financials
Oversee procurement of high-visibility and financially significant product line through strategic and tactical analytics with a focus on COGS and inventory optimization; develop and deliver presentations and reports for senior leaders relative to business objectives and performance
Directs the development of pharmacy procurement policies and procedures and ensures compliance through tracking and reporting; collaborates with clinical services team on drug and supply formulary strategy
Institutes strategy for the organization and communication of procurement-related policies, job aids, announcements, guidance changes, supplier updates, etc.
Build and maintain relationships with key business functions; must be skilled at influencing and change management at all levels of the organization
Drive the realization of savings, supply efficiency, quality, and process improvements
Assess team scope, structure, talent/skill gaps, and level of effort to develop staffing plans
Analyze deliverables beyond the immediate data to provide assumptions and possible next steps
Deal effectively with ambiguous and unstructured problems and situations
Move easily between big picture thinking and managing relevant detail
Manage and oversee the development and mentorship of direct reports

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain or Business Administration
3+ years pharmaceutical and/or disposable med/surg supply procurement
3+ years progressive experience in purchasing and inventory management
Ability to apply knowledge across complex business areas and manage in a cross-functional environment
Preferred Qualifications:
MBA
3+ years management experience
Demonstrated experience with financial analysis and modeling

California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York City, or Washington Residents Only Residents Only: The salary range for California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York City, or Washington residents is $101,200 to $184,000. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
